Hey! It has really been a long time.. If it wasn't because I felt so bored from studying maths, and started browsing the net.. could have totally forgotten that this place even existed! .. oh man! .. but since I found it.. I can start complaining here.. =P yeah!

Anyways.. yar.. Maths is so tedious now... can't stand it! Ah! .. it's like I can spend one whole hour on one question.. and still never get the answer.. my 'careless mistakes' are playing hide and seek with me! so so frustrating..

And besides that... Yesterday I went to the hair salon for the sake of spending finish my vouchers which are going to expire real soon.. and guess what? hahaha... I told the stylist I wanted to highlight copper colour without exactly knowing the colour of copper.. so... he went behind and do some mixing and came later with a bowl of orange dye... [at that time I was like.. gg... ] ... :/ in the end... monkey hairstyle!! ... haha! but it's ok... coz the colour's gonna fade away in a months time... :)

Hey!

This is gonna be really short coz I'm just feeling a little bored studying english! ... Can't believe I've gotta do this... I'm always lost on how to start! :/ Whenever I look at the question I could literally feel it staring back at me.. haha.. Oh man! My initial thoughts of being able to escape GP/English after A's didn't come true :(

ok... it's been a loooong time... so this is gonna be a loooong post...

Anyways... Here are my most recent FEELINGS! haha! =D

1) GREAT!

because... i'm gonna end work real real soon and will be looking forward for all the camps line up ahead for me! Additionally, my dreams to travel after A'lvls finally came true!! Went for a cruise with my family to penang and phuket =) ... THEN ... to cameron and genting with my crez friends! =D I LOVE travelling! really wished I could go somewhere further like Switzerland or cruise to Alaska though.. [haha.. i'm always wanting MORE.. which is BAD!] =/... :)

2) Blessed...

really GLAD that I could study what I've always wanted =) ... almost didn't get in :/ GP really kills... :/ anyways.. I'll be going NUS for Chem Eng... =)

3) yet... sad too =(

that so many pple will be going somewhere far away for their studies and I really wonder when I'll ever get to see them again :'( ..

Cruise Trip!

It was my FIRST time! ... so I was pretty excited! =D ... Sentosa has always been one of my fav places in Singapore... coz there's the beach... sea... horizon etc... what more can i ask for than to spend 4 whole days enjoying all these on a cruise?! It was super RELAXING ... promise :)

.
Here's my favourite spot in the cruise... our cabin's balcony :) ... where I can watch sunrise, sunset, enjoy the sea breeze and the sound of the waves :))) sadly my mom forbids me to go out there at night coz she's scared i'll fall into the sea!! .. HAHA! funny lar... [really wished she won't worry so much bout me sometimes =P ... then I'll get to do more stuff :P]

and yes... food is NEVER a problem there... in fact.. the problem is that there's TOO MUCH FOOD! ...we are like eating 6 meals a day and I had seriously grown fatter!!! ... soo.. throughout the entire cruise journey... I refused to take the lift and go for the stairs instead [part of my exercising plan.. haha.. talking about that my plan to run at least once every week failed severely!! :/ ahh!! :(]

here's the stilt village... one of the places we went to in Penang... and the food there is really great! ... oh man! ... I've really been eating super a lot! whenever I see nice food.. my stomach will like automatically make space for them even though i'm actually full :/// ... [k la... maybe I should be happy... coz i'm no longer underweight :) ]

here's the greedy elephant we rode on... it's really greedy man! ... apparently the intelligent elephant knew we bought a bag of bananas to feed him... so... when he wants bananas... he'll just stop moving... stretch his trunk backwards... yearning for the bananas! haha.. rebellious elephant!

Aside from all these... I love the musical and dance performances there! =) ... especially the ballroom dancing... =D really wished I could learn... ... [have been wishing that for a long time already... but time always hinders :(]

AND... there's this place in Phuket that I really wanted to go .. the James Bond Island... but sadly we couldn't coz there isn't enough time :((

Overall.. I HAD A GREAT TIME!

[secretly I wouldn't mind if we got quarantine in the middle of the ocean coz of swine flu :) ]

Cameron and Genting Trip:

thanks to eileen for organizing it! =) ... went for this trip just 2 days after I came back from my cruise trip... omg... super tiring actually... I was like praying hard I won't fall sick :/ anyways... i was really excited coz it was the first time i'm travelling with my friends!! =D away from mummy who will always forbid me to do stuff :)

Mish's birthday! =D so we had a little celebration there! =D let's hope our cres style of birthday song didn't wake everyone up =)

Hmm... let's see what else we did there... there's a strawberry plantation where we get to pluck our own strawberries =) ... that was very good exercising coz eileen and I climbed really really far up... we figured the 'dangerous zones' would have nicer strawberries coz less pple would have gone there =) .. oh yes.. the honey bee farm was scary... didn't like the idea of free-roaming bees there... back at home... I'll even scream whenever a bee flies into my room... really scared of them :S

In Genting... we went to the theme park and thankfully it rained so I didn't have to sit the sky tower ride with them :) ... haha.. genting was like more fun! ... though I've been there so many times already but I don't think i'll ever be bored there coz there's just sooo many things to do... :)

yup yup... it was great once again... when we were about to reach Singapore... we all got a little emo coz we don't know when we'll be able to meet up again... each of us are going to diff courses and diff uni even... well... stilll... i believe that FRIENDSHIPS WILL LAST FOREVER! right? :)

anyways... it's an open air concept... where we had picnic and watch the play at the same time.. =) ... Adrian Pung's acting is really good man! he's so funny and he always has his own individualistic style when he acts... yup.. the play was good!

Life has been reeeaaal busy!! :/ :)

Still... I just gotta squeeze some time to reflect on my life... will NEVER EVER want those memories to fade away... =)) k... where should I start from?? haha! [that's the prob... always!!]

Workshops!:

With primary 5 students from ACS primary!! They are really fun to teach but it's real tiring to control them as well... because they're ALWAYS running around... playing with gloves... squirting water at each other... you can never imagine how 'lively' lessons were! HAHA! ... One week of workshops... tire me to the max!!! but hey... it was fun! and I'm definitely going to miss teaching them... ... :)

Baking:

It was my FIRST time since my last home econs lesson which was in Secondary 2 I think, where the choc cake turned out to be a BIG cookie because I forgot to add baking power :/ ... Went to Mish house to bake this time! =) did a little modification to the recipe coz we really really couldn't figure out what some of the ingredients were.. haha.. anyways.. the cake turned out to be... erm... quite edible... :/ ... but the lemon cookies were really NICE! =) Thankfully! :)

At douby =) .. sadly I couldn't make it in time to join them for dinner =((( ... but I went for the post-dinner activity =) .. haha! I arrived only to find that they were doing... nothing... haha! ... super lame actually.. sooo... in the end... we went for supper at Mcs and played cards till I was really really tired...

More meet-ups with CREZ friends!:

Yup... finally got to meet alyssha after sooo long... we were supposed to go for Mish's church event coz she was dancing... So... thinking that it's going to be like a performance... we brought her flowers!!! .. and we ended up being the only ones who brought flowers there so funny! :/ :) ... haha.. anyways.. the dance was nice! =) hope to meet up more often! =)

Life isn't on the bright side all the time..

This past month have been filled with much disappointments.. I wake up every morning only to find myself confused over my future.. It's a really really terrible feeling... and I hated it.. and thank goodness I've got school to go to... because spending time in school with jess and wu duo really cheered up my days!! :) and work'll keep me busy... so that's good! but still.. I really can't help but feeling sad sometimes =((

I really can't wait for this period to be over... can't wait for everything to be confirmed.. like e.g. what course I'll be taking etc... only then will I have a peace of mind... because there'll be something for me to work towards again! =D Unlike now... everything is soooo undecided... ahh!! can't stand myself.. seriously.. for being sooo indecisive... if only I had realized the importance of GP earlier... Life wouldn't have been so hard for me now...

Made a wrong choice in JC... can't afford to repeat the same mistake again... Uni will be a new chapter of my life... and I hope I can give my best in it... then I'll have no regrets!!!

For now... I need the strength to carry on.. I think I'll have to believe in HOPE ... all I ask for now is just for that terrible feeling that I have every morning to go away... so I can have a clear mind to do all my applications... and make the best out of everything that I have...

I've been so busy lately... with work... with stuff that will perhaps affect my future greatly... 'SOUL SEARCHING' --- it's certainly something that is not easy... Next 3 weeks will be filled with anxiety... A'lvls... interview... resultS... I guess what that's keeping me going and calm is hope.. and faith... ... You'll have no idea how I'm feeling right now... -lost in myself-.. haha.. !!! watever... put that aside... and let's recall some fun times! =D

Outing with cousin:

To the esplanade roof top!!! Really really nice place to go to and talk about everything under the sky! .. haha! =D I totally enjoy the view and atmosphere there!! =D ate at Thai Express! =D After dinner, my cousin brought me to Harry's Bar!!! was really scared to enter at first... coz I'm not even sure if it's safe... sooo... I drank a non-alcoholic drink.. =D but there was a live performance there!!! I looovvveee the songs they sing!!! ... reached home a few min before 12 again... and my mom'll give me this look AGAIN!! .. HAHAHA!!!

Lyrical Jazz... and it is super boring.. haha... didn't get to learn any nice dances so I decided that I won't go again... well... but the intensive warm-up really tired me out completely... giving me muscle aches the very next day... first time I actually EXERCISED after soooo long!

To the botanical gardens... lame rite??? ... well... anyways... the 2 little cousins kept me busy and brightened up the atmosphere there too!.. haha.. botanical gardens is actually quite a good place for family bonding !! =D ... had a really nice dinner that day... visited the Orchid Garden etc. etc. =) and I treated almost everyone to ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D .. now that I'm working.. haha! =D

Trip to ICES (at Jurong Island):

ok... this was emo-ish... I went back to visit my research mentor and end off my attachment with ICES... bought him the England's finest biscuits from dempsey (and it's really nice.. haha.. I like it myself!)

I always felt so welcome whenever I return to ICES... the level of encouragement.. smiles.. that the pple there give me made me feel as though this is my second home.. I almost cried when I left the building...

haha.. I took pictures when I was in the bus... on my way out of jurong island... and the bus driver must have thought that I was crazy or something!! Can't believe I had sooo much feelings for jurong island!!! I must have been crazy... but I guess that's where I was given the opportunity to try out something that I really like... and enjoy... Yar... I hope to be able to go back some day =D

let's see... it's been a week already... sooo many things happened.. soo busy with work... soo tired.. and soo little time for myself... ...

Anyways... last friday was camp fire night! ... NG and KZ came too... and... we played ... er hem... 'board games' at the roof top... the 5 of us.. including jess and FW.. hahaha.. let's hope we don't get into trouble... :)

Then... we went back to the staff room... shortly after... we were greeted by some mysterious person... and all at the same time... the lights in the staff room went off!!! ... ahhh!!! scary..................

Life in the staff room has been rather entertaining lately...

Before assembly.. when you are half awake at your desk.. Suddenly.. Mr Yong arrives and started becoming high over soccer!! Even teachers began to amuse themselves with their self-made chinese new year deco... After lessons... ffw and ain would just like TOTALLY go crazy... haha... I won't even bother describing the things they did!!! hmm.. though I'm kind of the youngest amongst them.. I sometimes feel otherwise!! =D Hahaha... but it was fun =D

Work has been alright so far =) just a couple of presentations to prepare.. boards to design... and papers to mark... etc..

Went to the salon... trying to make my hair SLIGHTLY neater and not so messy.. haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyways... I went shopping in NTUC all by myself !!!!! [first time man!! Coz my mom went to do her hair too... =.=] while my brother and father went for badminton =.= ... anyways... It was quite fun!! shopping in NTUC by myself... pushing that huge cart and carrying a shopping list and a pen!! .. hahaha... I'm like 10 times more efficient than my mom because I dun take sooooo long to choose a pack of 60 cents vegetable! ... lol... because of this... I was kinda late for class dinner :/ ...

First class outing in the Year 2009... ...
The 'class size' is already beginning to diminish as more and more of us step into NS..
This photo... it really have a different feel and I guess all of us look SLIGHTLY more mature now.. =)
Dinner was at NYDC... and it was freezing cold in there...
Post-dinner activity was relaxing... we played some games... sang some songs... talked.. etc..

School's been FUN so far! =D

Though I haven't exactly started with teaching yet.. but it was STILL not as boring as I had imagined...

Just look at what I did today! :

Went for morning assembly
Had breakfast from 8 -10 am !!!!!
Work a while...
and before we knew it.. it was LUNCH TIME!
Corner seats are REALLY condusive for slping... hahaha..
Work a little more.. [haha.. it wasn't exactly work actually.. more on upgrading of my Microsoft Words skill :/ahh.. !!! ]
AND..... before I know it.. time to go!!! =D

Yesterday? :

Went down to the biopolis with some students..
I gotta direct the bus driver to the place coz he didn't know how to go.. and neither did I ... so I was practising my 'reading signboard' skill? [HAHA.. thankfully it wasn't that bad.. =D ]
There were talks on UK and US universities and it sort of made me regretted a bit not applying for US ... =(
and I also begin to think whether I had applied for the right course.. oh man!!
Suddenly felt stressed over scholarships and uni stuff..

First day of work:

I didn't know I had to work that day..
I thought I was juz going down to settle some admin stuff ..
So I came in jeans and casual clothes... totally don't look like a relief teacher! :/
Anyways.. I made new friends =D
Mark papers.. and it's an experience man!
Sneak into NJ's hostel and we ALMOST bumped into Ms Sharon Phua :/ ..

I'm feeling extremely tired today!

Yesterday... ... I did all the things that I could have possibly do in A DAY !!!

Started out with TWO hours of badminton ... [hahaha ...it is totally not surprising that I woke up with a terrible muscle ache today... ] and... my shoe kind of gave way during badminton... but thankfully my parents were nearby and they got me a new pair of BATA SHOES... Lol !!

Played pool a while... and out of dunno how many games we played.. I only won ONCE!!! .. hahaha ..

Shop at places that I seldom go such as TIMES, world of sports, and some GOLF shop.. LOL!! =D

Watched a movie... called Ong Bak 2... It was in Thai... and I didn't understand it.. hahaha.. I think only those fairy tale stories then I can understand =D

Ate SIX times... not bad.. and supper was SPAGHETTI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [I think I'll probably have put on at least ONE kg =D] - hopefullyy... ...

Reached home at 10.30pm ... luckily BUS 75 was kind to me... came right away !!!!! =D =D

Singapore Zoological Gardens... [2nd jan]

First visit to the zoo this year... which was rather obvious since only one day of 2009 had passed since then.. =D getting there was a real problem for me... aside from the fact that our bus fares were exceedingly high now.. mandai is one area that I'm extremely unfamiliar with... I took bus 927 from Choa Chu Kang MRT... only to realize that it went back to somewhere near upper bukit timah which was actually very NEAR where I am staying! Haha.. I ended up being late!!! and I didn't exactly know where to alight.. so I kind of predicted that most pple in the bus should be going to the zoo.. and thankfully I was right! =D

It was raining... sad... but luckily we all brought umbrellas and the sky decided to be kind to us just after a while.. the zoo hadn't changed much since my last visit last year.. except maybe the white tigers looked a little more tame now.. come to think of it... It was really funny coz we are always taking pictures with fake animals there - they're much easier to access than the REAL ones.. the kangaroos were so lazy... I didn't even get to see any of them jump... or hop... and the giraffes appear a little short to Jess.. the leopard is sleeping.. Man!! it seems that the gene pool is getting weaker when we keep animals locked up like that... some really had very little space to move in... quite sad rite...

Although I believe that the animals are being treated well in the zoo.. but locking them up in the zoo just for us humans to see may be a little cruel.. they should be out there in the wild... surviving with their own instincts.. how is it going to be like if it was the other way round? locking up humans for animals to see? haha.. I dunno... Juz random thoughts I guess.. yet.. zoo is actually one of my favourite places in this small island we are living in... hmm..

The monkeys are slightly luckier.. got such a big place to wonder around.. and one even tried to STEAL my food!!! ... so mischievious! ... haha!

Not forgetting the extremely expensive chicken rice that I took there! :/

Well.. but overall.. I think I had a great time =D

Since I was so bored.. I was looking through my cupboard and guess what I found.. my NCC uniform!!!!!! So I decided to try it on again... just wondering how I look like the last time!

In a flash.. we have finally came to the last day of the year... This has been a rather busy year.. for me and I guess for everyone as well.. Everytime I do my tutorials ... research work ... and mug like crazy for the numerous tests in the week.. I had been wishing for this day to come.. But now when I look back at my life in J2 .. and how we spent tutorial and lecture times together as a class.. I'm beginning to miss it ..

Yes... and I agree that I'm the least seen classmate ... probably spending half my time in the labs etc.. in class.. I was always trying hard to finish my work so I could conc on my research when I get home.. I hardly have time to mix around and talk to more pple in class.. it's hard to foster strong friendships like those I've made in crescent... sometimes... when the guys are making too much noise.. I would juz listen to music and block off the noise... haha..
.
I guess spending my time in NJ has really made me a more independent person... less reliant on friends and more on myself... unlike in crescent where my closest friends will juz follow me wherever I go...
.
oh.. and I'm really touched when I read the messages from the guys... I never knew how significant I've been in their lives till I read the messages.. I guess making pple around me feel happy itself made me a happier person.. and the video... it's really nice.. it captured most of the memories.. and I think daniel did it... =)
.
Next year I'll be back in NJ again ... but not as a student .. It will be an entirely different feeling... a new experience for me I guess... I juz hope I dun get to teach in 07S23 classroom... it will be so empty without the laughter and noise.. I think i'll cry..

Having had such wonderful classmates and friends.. it really gave me more resevations about pursuing my studies overseas... I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to survive alone overseas.. leaving behind those wonderful times I've had in Singapore... Ahhhh!!! I really dunno... hmm... but now that there's a class video... I guess that can keep me company if I was to go overseas...

Sat [27th dec]

Class party at lynette's house! =D ... Thank you lynette for preparing all the food and the gift exchange activity for the class.. =D .. thanks to wendy, vanessa, and lynette too for baking such a nice cake!!! =D playing pepsi cola with the girls was really fun and vanessa was soo pro at it... haha.. unbelievable =D but when she jump on you very painful!!! =D ohh... and I learn how to play a new game - cat and mouse.. at first I thought it was a running game where the cat chase the mouse or something... in the end turn out to be rather lame.. =) ohh.. and thanks to those who gave me presents that day too!!!!!! =D the guys as usual ... found it fun getting real wet.. haha.. It was a fun night indeed =D

Sun [28th dec]

Gotta forced myself out of bed early.. to go for outing with my research friends and teachers... I thought I would be the latest... since it was unlikely that I can wake up early after sleeping at 1am plus the last night... in the end... HHC was the latest.. hahaha! Thanks Mr Lim for treating us to Sushi Tei =D Spend a really long time there coz we keep talking... but I forgot what we talked about already... lol... went for the 8km walk later with them... oh man!! that was a really tiring one... we walked from vivo to hortpark to kent-ridge... but it was kind of fun though =D ... enjoying nature and talking and expanding my knowledge.. HAHA!

Went to my cousin's house later in the evening.. apparently my brother was there.. so I went.. I waited like crazy for bus 73 to come and gave up in the end.. so I took another bus and had to walk super long.. lol.. I think I'm getting so immune to walking long distance already.. arrived at his house... feeling so hungry coz I only took one meal that day... which is lunch... watch a movie there... and played pool with my brother... he became so pro... after being trained by either my cousin or his friend or both for juz one day... wa.. I can't believe it! Reached home late that day again..

Mon [29th dec]

Went out with Jared in the evening.. we had dinner and talked... I was feeling so sleepy that day after taking overdosage of medicine.. coz of my mom lar... she made me take too much cough mixture.. supposed to take 1 tablespoon I think... she ask me to take 2 ... so I was really sleepy... no mood for shopping..

Went to the doctor and the dentist later at night... 3rd time I'm seeing the doctor for cough or tonsillitis or watever.. I don't know why all the medicine are not working... anyway... hope it works this time.. my dentist drilled a hole in between my teeth.. he said that's the only way to close the gap smoothly.. lol.. so he tell me another 2 more visits again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =(((( [ He has been telling me 2 more visits since before prom =( ]

Tuesday [30th dec]

Time spent at home.. preparing ppt for the one hour presentation... ok.. that's like hard.. how to talk for 1 hour and not make the audience sleep.. man!! I really gotta think hard about this.. haha!

Wednesday, or rather today [31st dec]

Marvin's birthday... so happy birthday! =D went out to play badminton with ngiam in the morning... wanted to ask my brother to wake up and go play also but end up getting scolded by him =(( ... lazy pig.. haha.. don't want to wake up.. luckily when we went there.. there were 2 more pple to play with.. so the game was not so tiring for me.. haha..

Christmas was spent at my cousin's house.. I woke up.. only to find that half a day was already gone.. after wrapping the presents... a terrible headache struck me again... ... I think it's time that the dark genes get into play.. since I was young... my relatives always commented that I look a lot like my father.. I go to school.. to realized that I shared his passion for maths and science too.. I inherited his sporty genes as well... but now.. looks like I've gotten his migraine genes... =(

Ah!! I have been increasingly reliant on panadols these days.. over things like fever, cold .. and now.. headache.. It's really making me very frustrated! I can't wait to fully recover!

Party at my cousin's house was fine... :) .. watched TV a while.. played pool.. played piano.. and eventually... I turned to MSN.. HAHA! I think there's really a lot of entertainment in his house... wii, karaoke, pool, piano, com etc.. it's almost impossible to find nothing to do there... except maybe that day.. where all the entertainments were busy entertaining all his friends!!! well... but luckily.. the piano [or rather keyboard] was not occupied.. =D [but sadly I didn't bring my scores =( ]

Since we were back late on Christmas.. we woke up late too.. But ... I was sooo elated to find that my other cousin's maid brought us free turkey!!! =D [left over from yesterday's party coz we didn't go haha.. ] so lunch was yummy! =D

Suppose to be playing badminton today... but change of plans... so went to the botanical gardens with my family.. my father and brother went off to play basketball.. didn't join them coz I wasn't feeling too well.. so I went to walk with my mom... It was evening time when we started walking... but the skies were already a little dark... partly my fault coz I spent too long eating the jumbo hotdog at the Kidz Cafe... HAHA!

Anyways.. my mom was actually telling me scary stories while walking... and I can't believe that came from her!! .. We heard funny sounds along the way... the violent rustling of the dense bushes... and the tall canopy only allows a shimmer of sunlight to enter.. then she suddenly asked me if I know tai qi [HAHAHA! .. lol... I know wu shu though.. ]

We then saw this huge tree with white tree trunk... scary.. especially when she has scared me enough on the way already.. lol! Eventually.. we reached this lake... the sound of waters calmed me down.. and..... I saw the swans!! [or is it goose?] I don't know... But I remember the last time I went the swans were white!! [lol... change colours!]

My mom brought me to this new part of botanical gardens that I've nvr been before.. The research labs... I didn't know they have that there.. haha.. Interesting..

After all the hectic and busy days... It's not a bad idea to visit nature and relax our minds... Yet... I think it's better if one do not go there at night.. ... Imaginations may run wild.. Haha.. with all the trees and shadows etc.. ... ...

I love Christmas!! For it's always filled with so many activities... meet up with friends etc.. PRESENTS =D yeah! .. Maybe someday I'll spent my christmas in a Church... Just to understand the TRUE meaning of Christmas =D

23rd Dec:
Day out with liang and jess... =D we've known each other since crescent... when we were all in dance =D ... and I was glad that liang pulled me in to join chinese dance in NJ! =D .. and Jess!! stretching time was sure fun =P ... [haha!]

We went to vivo... lunch was at Kim Gary [zhao ye's recommendation - and I find it really really nice =D so we went there] ... we then went to my fav place in Vivo.. and I felt so stupid jumping in the water coz I should have known that I'll get wet!!!!!!!!!! [you know the splashing effect...] luckily I didn't fall.. otherwise the end result would be disastrous!! :/

That day was sure fun... talking about stuffs and all =D

24th Dec:
Woke up with a sore throat again =( .. bad start for the day.. must be the Hai Feng yesterday at vivo that made me unwell.. Still.. I survived on unfinished medicine.. and went out with my cousins [just like how we celebrate Christmas together every year =D] Dinner was at err.. some heritage place?? [I'm seriously bad at remembering resturants names!] but nvm.. wat's important is that the food is nice!!! =D

After dinner.. we went to cine leisure for k box.. the human and traffic jam at orchard was super bad!!! made me feel even more sick.. =( .. was soo glad when we arrived at the k box place coz at least there's sofa there for me to rest...

This reminded me of the times when my cousin is well.. going k box very frequently and fighting for the mike when we were younger.. haha.. but yesterday... I guess I was too sick to sing much.. Still .. it was fun.. just being there =D

Party at my cousins house again today... I better go wrap the presents =D .. and my mom's calling me down for brunch! =D

hello!! =D

I'm feeling extremely extraordinary happyyyyy today!!!!

This is really one of my best birthday ever =D ... Yesterday.. I was already feeling sooo excited a few minutes before 12... =D In the past.. I'll usually be asleep at that time.. haha.. but yesterday [or is it today??] ... I stayed up till about 2am!! haha.. and kevin and nic goh still come and tell me ghost stories la!!!!!!!!!! so terrible right??? lol!! luckily I could slp... otherwise the two of them will get it!!! hahahahaha!!

I felt so touched too.. when everyone started calling, smsing, msning, and (facebooking) me at around 12 o'clock yesterday.. =D ... I really didn't expect so many pple to remember my birthday... my cousins, my classmates, crescent pple, church friends, dance friends, and everyone else!!!!!! thanks so much for remembering!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D It means a lot to me... loveeeeeeeee all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

haha.. well.. since I slept late that night... I woke up late too.. !! lol.. by the time I was awake .. it's already like noon time.. haha.. took breakfast at 1pm .. coz my mom prepared something nice =D .. and lunch cum dinner was at 5?? =D haha... it was really really really nice too =D ... ate all kinds of meat.. at the steakhouse... and I'm quite sure I've put on a few kg???!!! =D

Met up with alyssha, eileen and mish for movie =D ... watched twilight.. and it's reallllyyyy nice.. Amy was so right!! =) ... had supper with them too... at nydc [if I dun remember the name wrongly..] thanks to eileen for giving me that big bottle of wine!!!!!!!!!! haha.. I drank it juz now... [so now cannot slp... funny...] and thanks to mish and alyssha for that lovely necklace too!!!!!!!!! =D thanks for the cake ... =D thanks for everything!!!! =D

Today was family time again..

Sent my brother for badminton training in the morning... and we all went to LOT 1 for shopping while waiting for his training to end... LOT 1 is a really nice place to shop! The stuff there are not only nice but also very affordable too =D ...

Went to Marina Square after that for more shopping! ... haha... but then the stuff there all so ex... so nvr buy anything... save $$$ =D ... There was this public performance there... It was a piano and violin performance performed by some very small children... They are all so adorable!!! They dressed up like the little princess and prince... holding the little violin... and playing with so much confidence... those that played the piano were so small that their legs could not even reach the pedals when they sit on the piano chair!!!

It kind of reminded me of the times I had piano lessons when I was young too... I remembered the time when I took part in the piano competition... back then I think I was only 8 years old.. and in the semi-final round.. it was held in the auditorium... there were so many pple watching and I was very nervous.. So after I played finish the 3 pieces that I prepared... I bowed... and ran down the stage to hug my mom .. Sometimes.. I wished that I had been braver and took part in more concerts.. It's like my piano teacher always ask me to perform in the annual concert.. but I always turn down the opportunity.. oh well.. but now... I guess it's a little late already...

Playing piano is so relaxing.. right now... without exams and all... it's even better coz I can play those pieces that I like.. Sometimes I wonder if I were to persue my studies overseas.. I'll miss playing piano... coz I can't possibly bring it along with me.. so maybe that's why I want to learn guitar... coz I can always bring the guitar with me =D

I really can't imagine life without music!

Attempts to sleep early failed so badly... partly because I've been waking up so late every day!! and besides... although it's like soooo late now... I think i'm more awake then an owl!!!!!!!!!! interestingly...

I'm seriously wasting my time at home... I can't wait to start work actually.. now that I think of it... It's like I woke up today.. at 11 plus... stared at the comp a while... then.. went back to slp again.. woke up to doing some sewing stuff for my mom... and pricked my finger =((( ... and then.. it's like 5pm already... time to go for concert... [quite sad rite?? spending my time away like that]

Speaking bout the concert.. it was wonderful!! =D It's a combine church choir concert.. the songs were really really nice... and I was totally amazed by the structure of the organ in VCH.. the air pipes are soooo huge.. I've went there several times already... but it's the FIRST time that I realized it... really cool...

Not forgeting the tastiest dinner I had with Clarice too.. She recommended this Japanese Marche-like resturant [haha.. i forget the name of it] .. and the food is .. heavenly!!! =D especially the salmon ommelette there.. it's soooo nice!! =D

Went to Mcs for a drink after the concert... [it seriously felt like post-prom.. going to the same place we went haha!!] ... and reached home a few minutes before 12... phew... [and this is wat my father said when I reached home - You think you are Cinderella is it??] haha.. lol!!

Anyway... I had fun today =D .. feels soo great to see my childhood friend again =D Musical concerts are really nice... =D I should save more $$$ and go for more in future =D

yesterday.. we decided to have an ISEF outing... met prof zhao, prof zhai, and prof hang at vivo city... and prof yin was late!!! as usual... haha! despite my early wake up call which kind of made me forget to bring my phone =((( ... left it on my table..

We went to sentosa [again.. for me!] ... well... I must say that this sentosa outing is a little different from the usual ones I had... no beach games.. no swimming.. etc.. but still... I had fun experiencing new sources of entertainment and receiving free treats!!!!!! =D

First.. we explored sentosa island a little.. but didn't find much entertainment around because half of sentosa is under renovation...

We build sandcastles and played truth and dare on the beach.. but it was not very exciting coz we dun know much secrets about each other.. and the dare was so easy la... must think of harder ones next time!!!!

Then... prof zhao suggest that we should go to a bar for a drink... haha.. seriously.. this is my FIRST time.. but still... I ordered a mocktail as I thought that'll be safer... I took a sip of prof zhao's drink [which has a seioursly suggestive name to it!] ... and that is my first sip of alcohol I've ever take in my entire life!!! [so far..]

Dinner was at vivo... and we shopped a little while after that... while prof yin and prof hang was either busy with the gambling stuff or soccer... [sounds seriously boring to me..] HAHA!

Yesterday's trip to the doctor didn't work... coz I woke up today with a even more terrible sore throat... sooo... my mom brought me to a better doctor this time... and we waited from 10am to 1pm before it was my turn to see!! [that was crazy la!! I wanted to give up coz i'm going to be late for the wedding..]

anyway.. I was diagnosed with tonsilitis.. luckily I went to see another doctor and get some antibiotics... otherwise it'll take like forever for me to recover!! sigh... sometimes I feel that not all doctors are reliable.. [must see the right one]

Today was Ms Ng's wedding ... my sec 4 form teacher... =D .. It was a church wedding.. held at Trinity Christian Centre.. This was my first time attending a Church wedding.. a rather good experience for me =D She look so beautiful and her husband is so tall!!! .. haha.. Quoting from Jess Yeo's blog: 'Being in love is an extraordinary feeling of joy!!' So I wish that the 2 of them will live happily ever after.. haha!

Went out again... but this time to the doctor...

My throat is hurting like mad! and the doctor still refuse to prescibe antibiotics to me juz because of the news a few days ago...

I don't know if what the news said was totally true.. if it is then I must have wasted a lot of money on it the last time..

well ... it does make sense that consumption of antibiotics may allow the virus strain to strengthen... but it helps kill bacteria... prevents spreading... which also means that I can recover faster.. and I kind of need to recover fast this time... because..

Tml's is Miss Ng's wedding... and I really want to attend =)

Ahhhh... I thought I won't fall sick... coz I took a flu jab earlier this year.. which means I won't get attacked by influenza virus... but sadly there's this 'cough virus'?? - according to my father...

Anyway.. I think I know where I caught the virus... from the SCIENCE CENTRE!!! [coz children carries the most virus!]

=( ... fell sick yesterday.. was having a fever and a sore throat.. I think it must be the food I ate.. or the consecutive late night sleeps that I had... or both!! =(

Oh well.. still... I dragged myself out of my bed at 8am today to go for class outing at East Coast! I think I seriously need to learn how to take care of myself.. shouldn't be out for so long today when I'm not feeling very well in the first place... haha.. but I like cycling la.. It's fun.. and Panadol works anyway =D

So... we cycled.. and we ALMOST reached Changi Airport!! [should have persevere more] ... I manage to see a few planes fly past... They were like flying sooo low... juz a few hundred metres above our heads!!! I think I really like planes a lot.. some how I juz like the taking off and landing part... even hearing/seeing the plane fly past gave me some kind of feeling that I dun know how to describe.. haha... Maybe I should work in the airport or something!! =D [it'll be quite cool though =)]

Lunch was at Subway... and I was soo glad that I finished my food again =D ... [I'm beginning to get good at this =)] ...

We then went to some place to play pool... I like pool.. [though I kind of know not many girls like that] ... I find pool rather relaxing.. I mean it's like one of the few sports that you can play without sweating much =)

Met up with my parents for dinner... and today.. I was back home early =D

Visit to the Science Centre ?!?!?!

That was seriously funny... of all the places of interest available in Singapore... we actually choose to go to the Science Centre!!!
Arrived at the entrance... and it was surprisingly crowded despite the fact that it was a weekday today!
As I take a quite glance around.. all I saw was children half my height... jumping around etc... [I think they must have think of us as overgrown kids or something...]
Then............... luckily... I saw one English couple there... and I told my mom... 'we can pretend to be tourists...' Gosh!! should have bring my baby cousins there or something... then we won't feel so funny.. haha!!!
Anyway... our purpose of going to Science Centre was to unravel the tricks behind magics... because there's this new attraction there known as the 'Magic Illusion' - if i'm not wrong..
While the children were getting amazed by the wonders of science... my father and I were trying to figure out the loopholes in the exhibition there.. HAHA!!! [and not bad... we succeeded =D]
Felt bored after a while coz the science stuff there are seriously boring...
Decided to go to the ecogarden to breathe some fresh air... and..... there's a tree house there.. haha!! cool.. if I ever have a chance I'll build one next time!
Went for some magic shows [that was actually meant for kids...] and I must say the kids there are actually quite smart...
The magician, thinking that the kids dunno how to play with those magic rings, gave them to the kids to play while he performed the magic trick with another set of magic rings... haha!!! basically, the trick was juz looping 3 separate metal rings together... and guess what?!?! the magician can loop the 3 metals rings together... and so can the kids!!! haha!!!! [opps... loopholes in the tricks.. haha! =P]
Well.. apparently... We can actually get entertained in Science Centre until it closes at 6pm!!

Oh well... actually it's quite fun la... got a lot of new stuff there to see.. I think the last time I went there was in Primary School or something... when everything appears huge and amazing to me.. there are still stuff for me to learn there though.. the science exhibitions there maybe simple... but yet I still can't explain some stuff displayed.. haha!!! [actually.. I dun think science centre is juz for kids after all =D]

Dempsey Hill is a little like how life in the outskirts of London is going to be like.. Peaceful.. Quiet.. And the shops there are in little cottages... Perhaps the only difference will be the weather.. it'll be much cooler... and the sky will be much darker... In London.. they enjoy shorter hours of sunshine... by 4 o'clock.. the sky will already be dark... ... Life there might be rather forlorn... lonely...

Chalet Crash!

Hey... I think holidays are really tiring... Going out almost everyday... Though this is the kind life I wished to have after my A levels... but I think I'm going to be too drained out if I continue life like this.. I need a break... anyway.. I've found myself a job! =D .. but I'm not too sure yet when am I going to start work though.. haha!! Sometimes I feel that life in school is more meaningful and fun... though there are lots of homework and stuff... but still.. it can be enjoyable :) and even less tiring...

Well... Went to crash my friend's chalet this afternoon... I was so lazy to wake up as I was really really tired after being out the whole day yesterday... nevertheless... I was still awaken by charlene's SMS.. omg! wat an effective alarm clock!! =D

Home Team NS is the chalet name... It was my first time there and before that I didn't even know that that chalet existed.. haha.. arrived at around 3pm after lunch with my parents.. and played pool for a while.. My aiming skills are seriously lousy now!! [after not playing for a very very long time..haha!] ... then... we played this card game called Munchkit.. ok... I seriously found that rather boring as it is all about killing monsters and levelling up etc... after the rain stopped... we went cycling =D .. that was fun and relaxing... especially so with such a cooling weather =D ... Went back to the chalet after that for BBQ dinner... [must thank charlene's parents for all the food!!! =D .. it's really nice =D] ... then.. shared some wonders of science with the pple there.. before my parents came to pick me up for supper... =D [ate at downtown east]

We then headed to my cousin's house for a while.. and I was practising pool there!! haha! =D saw some of the pictures my auntie took and it was so hilarious!! Ate my cousin's fried rice too!! .. wa! He can cook... I better start learning... [once my mom gets a new oven .. haha!]

~Life is getting eventful.. but eventful life seems tiring~

It's 6.00am in the morning... and I gotta dragged myself out of my bed to visit my dance friend's Church. It's called the Bukit Batok Presbyterian Church.

The church is small and humble.. and I must say the environment there is really really friendly.. the people there are really nice too =D .. I like the songs they sing... Youth fellowship was fun and I get to make more new friends there =) .. Guess I agree with wat nic goh told me... Going to church is 'good for your soul' ... oh well... but I gotta solve my backache prob first coz sitting on the wooden chair for so long really caused my back to hurt like mad!! haha!

Went for lunch together with them and found out that many pple there were from dance and are talented in music too! that's really cool la! .. =D

Then... went out with my cousin and my family to botanical garden for a second lunch.. haha!!! this is so going to help me put on weight man!! .. but it's ok.. i needed it!!! =D

We then decided to go to Mount Faber for some reason.. and found out that they were charging half price for the cable car rides so we decided to take it to SENTOSA!!!!!!! =D ... The view was really nice and... this is actually the FIRST time i'm taking cable car to sentosa?!?!.. I can't believe it.. seriously..

Had dinner there and it was really really crowded though it was like already 9 o'clock in the night.. I've never seen sentosa that crowded before! ... surprising.. haha! ..

By the time we took the cable car back to Mount Faber.. It was already 11 plus... and... they are like still not tired so we went to.. err.. i think it's called 'winter dreams' at Jewel Box... for a drink.. wanted to try Singapore Sling but... my mom didn't allow!! .. [I kind of knew it.. juz trying my luck..] ... We talked and laughed so loudly and I think we kind of spoilt the romantic atmosphere there.. HAHA!

Reached home really late... but it was kind of cool.. the atmosphere at Mount Faber... It's really nice after they had renovated it recently.. the Christmas decorations there was really nice too... there's this 'glowing chair' there and I really look as if I was glowing when I sit on it.. =D ... [but the pic is with my cousin.. gotta get it from him!!]

Prom was really fun and it'll be a night to remember... I still remember how I felt when we were on the way to the entrance of the ballroom... My heart was beating so fast and I dun even know why... This was my third prom... but it's the first in a mix school... [and perhaps that's why]

The guys came with their swords and shields... attempting to be the Grad Knights.. but I think it'll be cooler if they had horses!!! =D haha.. well.. still.. I must say that's really innovative!! ... made the night even more fun and memorable...

The food served was alright... though I kind of find the plate of mushrooms really funny.. and the soup was :\ ... [interesting] ...

Time flies when we are all having fun together... and the feeling was like... 'so fast!!!' ... we then presented the boards to the guys... hope you all liked it though.. [for we spent A LOT of time on it =)] ...

Post prom was relaxing... Heard the guys sing when we were walking along the road.. had supper at Mcs and played cards after that... and I must be really slpy then coz my reaction was super super slow!! ... walked to the esplanade after we left Mcs... Stared at the sky and was admiring the shining stars... then... started climbing things and found out that wan ching likes to climb too.. haha..

Back at the hotel.. I was really slpy but yet I don't feel like slping.. went out to the balcony to enjoy the view and the breeze a while.. it was really beautiful... left soon after coz I decided that I couldn't take it anymore... went home.. slept immediately...

07 S 23 was really a fun class and I hope we all will continue to keep in touch with each other.. =)

Woke up the next morning to play badminton... suppose to play with my brother but then he cannot wake up.. haha.. so in the end just play with my friend... Feels good to play sports again though... =D

On my way home.. got interviewed by some pple from 'Today's paper'... I thought it was some secondary school pple doing project or something intially so I was crapping all the way!! Then when he's done with the interview he told me he was from Today's paper ... then I was like opps!! luckily I nvr give him my name.. [I think the person must have thought I was crazy or something... ]

Went to Botanical Gardens after that and attempted to study for SATs with Nic Goh but in the end... ... we ended up TALKING !!! haha.. damn funny... Had lunch there and I finished my food!!! [for once] =D ... studied for like less than 2 hours [only]... and then went to explore botanical gardens... =D

I was so sad that the swans were no longer there!! anyway... we look like some tourist there... carrying this botanical garden map around [not my idea though!!] ... haha!

Wednesday:

Went shopping with Charlene at Raffles City, Suntec and Marina Square... It was really my record so far [coz i bought 2 items that day!! =D]

Thursday:

Went to lynette's house and the curry chicken was really really nice =D [thanks a lot for that!!]
Went shopping with my parents later in the night and i was seriously falling asleep... so it wasn't productive at all.. haha...

Friday:

Went for A*STAR seminar in the morning and it was really inspirational... this Australian associate professor was like teaching us how to make billions of dollars with research... HAHA!!! he was really really funny though... he spoke with an Australian accent: 'I am going to teach you how to make billions of dollars... it's easy... all you need is an idea... [that sells] ... so now... i'm going to share with you my idea... but... you can't possibly steal it coz otherwise... I CAN SUE YOU...' [laughs] ... ... and this is how he ended off... 'so anyone interested in this area of research?... give me a call.. and we can make billion of dollars together!!' ... [first time I heard from a researcher that is soooo funny] ... and his definition of being a researcher - It's cool... coz you'll get to do all the COOL stuff... =D

Had a tour at Fusionworld in the Fusionopolis... it's really really exciting... =D ... there were like 60 technologies that were so fresh and enlightening.. I saw the 'future home' .. the 'future workplace' ... the 'future medical facilities' ... wow!!!!!!!!

Visited the Institute of High Performance Computing [IHPC]... haha.. hmm... that's not really my area of interest... anyway... learn many new stuff from there too =D

Went out with my research friend... for a movie - [body of lies] ... hmm... i dun really understand it though.. haha.. plot too complicated... had dinner at pasta mania .. talked about some research stuff... and i was feeling tired.. so i went home early.. to rest...

On tuesday:

Visited the Marina Barrage in the evening... It's a really really nice place.. nice sceneries and the breeze is so refreshing... [perfect place to emo too... lol! - for those pple who love emoing...]

Anyway... this is a new reservoir that they are building... trying to make Singapore self-sufficient... there are nine crest gates and seven drainage pumps to manage the water level... many interesting things to learn from there... there's a pump house too ... but it's not yet ready..

yesterday night... [or rather early this morning] was hilarious...

Anyway... went out with Jamie yesterday for some shopping... and we had a nice chat at Carl's Junior... finally ate the beef chilli fries.. [first time!] =) ... opps... and i spent too much money till i was like left with 6 dollars to last for the rest of the day.. trying to 'manage my finance' as proposed by kevin and that's why i didn't bring much $$$ out that day ... then in the end not enough money!! ...

Proceeded to Vivo City later to meet some of my Sec school friends.. and guess what... went shopping for their prom dresses.. [haha.. i feel like nowadays i keep going around shopping for pple's prom dresses..lol] ... i still got lots of stuff to buy!!! haha!! ... well... it was quite fun shopping with them anyway... wondering why jazlyn likes ' bright green dresses' so much?!?!?! [*laughs*]

Dinner was at Pepper lunch... [emptied my pockets...]

Then we went out to see some lights and talked a while before going back home =D

Went for dental later in the night... and sigh... i can't take out my braces yet =((((( .... need 2 more visits!!! Oh man! ... I wished my teeth could like move faster or something...

Going out again... [when will I get to rest? - HAHA!] Nevermind... i rather go out then stay at home anyway =) ... juz that today I gotta go out with a swollen nose [argh... think i'm really allergic to seafood =(]

I had a really wonderful day yesterday... It feels as though the times we spent in Crescent were back again... Our hectic JC/IB lives has set us apart for two years... with each and everyone of us going our separate ways.. I was so afraid that time can drift us apart... but yesterday has reassured me that we can remain as close friends again =) ... It was really a wonderful feeling... =D

We met at cine leisure to catch a movie... [high school musical 3] ... found out that it was Eileen's favourite movie.. haha! [even her bookmark had a high school musical design!!] I thought I was the only few who like it.. The movie was really nice!! [though the plot was rather simple] .. I like the songs they sang.. especially the duets.. it's really really.. .. how should I put it? [enchanting?] haha... oh... and I like the dance too... it's called 'the last waltz' ... Ball dancing is really nice... I heard they had that in London... [really hope I could go there=)] and experience it myself.. haha!

Oh.. and we met Jessica there too!!! in the theatre... and they were sitting just beside us... haha!!!!! lol!!!

Then... we went shopping... for prom dresses =) ... Eileen as usual... [is so stubborn!!!] ... ask her to shop she stood at 'Daniel Yam' shop to read her story book... oh well... CMI man!!

Dinner was at Swensenz... ate the Salmon Bake rice and it was soooo delicious!! =D Kailing and Meily were there too... [to make a whole lot of noise again!!!] ...

We then went to TCC to celebrate eileen's birthday!!! bought the cake for her then in the end must force her to eat some more.. lol! .. Michelle and I figured that the cake tasted nice.. haha.. so we 'help' her eat a bit =P

Wow!! I really felt great that day... It has been a long time since we had so much fun together... Looking forward for more outings.. haha.. like going to Michelle's house to bake after prom =) [coz my oven spoiled..=(] .. and to sentosa!! =) [k.. this time i won't wear jeans anymore =)]

Sentosa Trip [19th November]

I woke up.. feeling excited =D ... because we are finally going to Sentosa again after a really really long time =D Sentosa is really my favourite place in Singapore... I like the sand, the sea, the waves, the atmosphere etc... Everything!! =) [but actually.. I like sentosa best when it is at night =)]

We met at 10.30am ... at harbour front MRT... among all the girls, only Jamie, Shalom, Marissa and me went... oh well... The first thing we did there was to play Frisbee =) ... with this super small Frisbee that yong jian brought... haha!! ... It was quite fun actually... coz the Frisbee was rather easy to catch... [hmm... but i was kind of confused sometimes... wondering which side we are supposed to score.. lol.. ]

Then... the rain came... and so we resorted to playing cards as usual =)

Lunch was at this food centre at Pelawan Beach... and.. all the girls realized that the guys were really really quiet during lunch... [haha] ... super UNLIKE them... and so Shalom concluded that maybe Kai Zhong was like the 'catalyst' for all the noise and stuff [reaction] or something.. hmm.. =)

Went up to the 'twin-towers' at pelawan beach after lunch... the climbing stairs part was ultra torturing coz jamie and I were like suffering from serious muscle ache after badminton yesterday!! .. well.. but when we were up there, the breeze was ultimately refreshing =) .. so we sat there for a while... =) [and it was a nice feeling though]

Went back to our 'camp site'... [but by then Shalom and Marissa had already left us..] ... the guys went to play soccer... so Jamie and I decided to go into the sea.. =))) then... the rain came again... sad!! we wanted to get out of the sea... but when we stood up.. this gust of wind just blew past us ... and our decision is...... sea is warmer!!! =D haha! .. the rain was quite heavy... and when the rain-splash effect causes some sea water to enter our eyes... it's really painful... =(( ... we stayed there for about an hour plus anyway... [talked about some stuff =)] ... and so sorry... didn't know the guys didn't know where we were... oh and thanks ngiam anyway for wanting to help us with an umbrella...

Found out later that Nic Goh lost his specs in the sea... and someone was suggesting that he can wear his goggles around.. lol... crazy idea!!!

Left sentosa at 6 plus to join Lynette, Amy and Suyi for dinner =) ... [oh... but i can't remember the resturant name] .. anyway the food there was really good.. =) we talked a lot and apparently lynette was having some hearing prob that day.. haha.. [so it was REALLY funny!!]

By the time I reached home.. it was like already 11pm .. OMG!!! .. partly the bus fault coz Amy and I waited like more than half an hour for bus 61 to come!! [that was frustrating]

Well.. that's about all I guess... for that day... It was quite fun anyway... but it could have been better if it didn't rain.. [and if more pple go.. haha =)]

I realized that after A level like more busy.. haha.. busy going out and all... [don't even have time to update] ..

Anyway.. i'll be looking forward to more outings =) ... [lynette was suggesting BBQ at her house =)))))]

Yay!!! The long awaited day has finally came!! =D ... During physics MCQ today... I could hardly concentrate during the last 15 min coz I was already thinking about what to do after that!! =D ... I could feel that the invigilators are happy for us too =) ... coz she was like saying 'stop writing' with this BIG smile on her face!

Had a little celebration in school today coz Wan Ching brought the sparkling apple drink... it was really cool coz it was the first time I saw a 'popping bottle' live... oh... and I guess all our bags must be smelling like apple juice now!

We then proceed to bishan sports complex to play badminton... [and some cards] ... It was my first time there as I seldom go to that part of Singapore... well.. badminton was fun!! Really glad that almost the whole class actually went =D ... and Marvin was really amusing!!! haha! ...

Lunch at pizza hut was fine... though I couldn't finish my food as my small stomach can't take too much food at one time [which means I need to take more frequent meals... =D ... coz i can get hungry real easily.. ] ... wanted to watch movie though... but didn't in the end... oh well..

Took a bus down to orchard to meet my parents after that... went for dinner with my family and my cousin's ... at soup resturant!!! =D ... food there was really great! =D

Went out shopping with my family yesterday for almost the whole day! =D ... and I finally got what I wanted!!!! =D ...=P yeah!! .. and i'm feeling HAPPY!!! =D... Oh well... but my poor brother must have felt so bored coz he was juz like tagging along.. [but luckily there's a bookstore there to entertain him.. so not so bad =)] ~ i think...

hmm.. I think i've more or less toured Singapore now that i think of it.. we went to Vivo.. then to Wisma.. and then to Far East... =D haha... [but at least it is productive =D]

ohhhh!!! and just one more paper to go... and i'll be freed from my books for almost a year!!!!!!! can't wait!!! =D

A rather meaningful poem written to me by my tuition teacher and I want to share it to everyone who are feeling the same way.

Time really flies. I felt as though I have just entered NJ, going through all the orientation and all. But yesterday marks the end of school officially. In crescent, we shed tears together, for it feels extremely sad having to part with all our memorable times we spent together. In the farewell pictures that we took, we all put up a smile with teary eyes. In NJ, there seems to be a stark contrast. No one cried and we do not go around hugging each other.. But still, it'll be sad to leave behind all the laughter and joys that we shared as a class. I have to say that I have never laughed so much in my life before... the videos posted on our class blogs are extremely good stress-relief remedy!... and I'm really going to miss all this!!!!!!! =(

We had a farewell assembly yesterday... followed by the return of our result slip which left me rather sad after looking at my GP percentile.. [as I really dunno wat I can do to improve my GP under such a short period of time] ... but nevertheless... I left that aside and get myself into a 'photo-taking mood' =D . Together with the class girls, we went around the school taking photos for the first time I think... Photos are wonderful memories =D

Life is revolving around 'studying' these days...

Still... there's always time for me to keep the books away and enjoy myself a little =)

Met up with my crescent friends sometime back at Long John Silver for dinner... and that day was really eventful man!! so many things happen to me!!! .. Firstly... i broke my glasses ... so gotta go and make a new pair... and because of that... I was kind of late for the dinner ... then.. my mom still forbid me to cross the road coz she claimed it was dangerous and I have to take the overhead bridge [=.=] ... so... i juz missed my bus!!! waited about 15 min for the next bus to come... and by the time I reached orchard... I was already an hour late!!! oh... and I really can't believe my terrible sense of direction.. [took me a really long time to find where sinne leisure is...=(] ... In the end.. by the time I reached... most of them already finished their dinner... except for Eileen Soh!! .. HAHA!!! [she saved my life man! ... otherwise everyone must wait for me to finish dinner... ] well... basically.. we spent the whole night TALKING!!! =DD

Ate super a lot that day and I could hardly walk after that!!! yeah... and as I have predicted... we took a walk along Singapore River again!!! .. Night life at Clarke Quay was really beautiful... [well... perhaps i'll get to go there again after A's] ...

post prelim life has been rather eventful =D ... Here are some reflections =D :

Thursday:

Went out for shopping with the girls.. but before that went for lunch with my parents first =D ... Shopping at Far East Plaza was quite fun... though I didn't buy anything coz I can't figure out how am I ever going wear those 'interesting' kind of tops and dresses they sell there... We then proceeded to Wisma and then to taka for more shopping...

After that, we decided to join the guys for dinner at vivo.. was really sad that we couldn't go sentosa though... i've always been hoping that i'll get to go there after prelims.. well.. nvm.. We reached there really early so we decided to go to the bookstore to entertain ourselves first... hmmm... the last time I read a book was like in Sec 4 when I took literature... quite pathetic now that i think of it... As I walked around the bookstore... I was trying to find an interesting book but couldn't in the end.. what I found was a nice corner sit with a sea view... could see sentosa and the sunset from there too... haha..that made me happy for a while.. soooo... i decided to grab a nearby book but i realized it was a bad idea coz I was at the business section... anyway... in the end.. i juz took a book from the nearby lit section and went back there to read =) ... [arh.. the book was boring =(... but the view was nice =) ]

Met the guys later at the roof top... and we juz had to play truth and dare of all the games available.. I think it is a really scary game... haha.. fun only when I get to watch others play =D ... I rather play hide and seek or catching or something.. haha!!!!!!!!!! went home real late that day... but it was sure fun =DDD

Saturday:

Went out with Jaz to IMM [coz we decided that it's nearer to our house] .. haha.. so... we talked and catch up with each other after a really really long time... =D

Friday [today]:

It's my mom's birthday.. went out at night =) ... We went to the esplanade to enjoy some nice sceneries and music and ambience etc. etc.. and ate at this korean resturant... and the food there was really nice... i think it's the first time I'm eating korean food... so still not use to eating the pickles and the other cold dishes... aside from tat ... the main dish was nice =)

Prelims is finally over! =D

I have been waiting for this day to come for weeks... =D

We had a class outing today... 23 of us went for lunch at Cafe Cartel... [that was almost perfect attendance la! super cool!] .. oh... and the funny thing was that Marvin was actually trying to cut a huge bone!!!!! omg!... I wonder wat he was thinking then la!!!

Next was shopping! =D [at Suntec and Marina Square] ... hmmm.. but sadly I wasn't really in a mood for shopping... coz aside from being super tired, my bag was really heavy and I really dunno why because all I brought was calculators, pencil case, and a few sheets of notes =D

The bus trip back home was so long ... ... but luckily got lynette to accompany and entertain me =D i then went to Kai Ling's house for a while... juz to pass her her super belated birthday present... and omg... another half an hour of bus trip!!! .. and the return journey was even worse because of the jam!! .. haha! I can't believe I actually spent more than 2 hrs on bus trips today!!!!!!!!!!

Reached home finally... and found out from the news that they launched the 'high speed atom collision experiment' today!!!... super cool la! 1000 scientists was involved in this experiment and they have spent 20 yrs building that extensive underground structure to run this experiment.. I really hope they find something interesting [like maybe atoms can be broken down into smaller entities!! =)]

Tml we'll be going shopping again.. and hopefully to sentosa[my favourite place =P] after that =DD ... I'm so excited! =D

first few days of hols =D

Prelim's not yet over... but I have been slacking a lot for the past few days... =( ... it's juz so hard to get myself to sit down and study these days... I'm still in a holiday mood =) and that's bad!

Well... Iwent out the whole day on Mon and Tues =D ... After four hours of tuition on Mon.. I was supposed to visit my cousin... but in the end didn't coz he needed to rest... so... we went to the toy museum instead... [nothing much actually] ... next ... we went shopping! Shopping at centre point was quite fun =) got some stuff for myself =D ... =P ...

On tuesday after chem... i told myself that i'll go home and study... attempted though.. for about one hour.. before my parents asked me whether I want to go watch my brother play badminton... He has badminton competition [known as Cheers competition] that day... sooo... i went =D ... haha!! couldn't resist the temptation... [gotta postpone my study again] ... in the end he won =D ... so means tml have to go again... hmmm... Dinner was at Newton's food centre... and we had lobster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D yeah... it was really a great day! =D

Thursday:

It's the so called 'last day' of prelims.. haha.. anyway I was super happy =) ... finally can take a short break after so much studying... well... the first thing I did after prelims is to go and cut my hair.. =D I haven't cut for a really long time and the hair stylist was complaining how messy it is... he even told me that I must cut at least once in 2 months... [funny ar.. like that my hair will keep getting shorter and shorter!!! - must teach him convergence series =) ]

Next... I met up with the rest of the girls at IMM to make teachers day present... By the time I reached there they already finish buying all the stuff... so I juz go there and help decorate =) Here's a picture of us there =D :

It's been a really long time since I last touch art... Use to love it when I was younger... but now there's hardly any time for me to do art... kind of sad though.... anyway... here's the end result =D .. quite nice actually =)

When I reached home.. I had to rush through my personal statement because the deadline is tml... =( ... wrote for many hours and I was super tired... in the end slept at around 2 am.. [so frustrating =(] ...

Friday:

It's teacher's day!!!! =) Supposed to meet at 7 am to write messages... but in the end couldn't wake up in time =P ... haha.. too tired =) .. We skipped assembly for the first time I think... and Lynette was like super scared that we'll get caught [the typical 'guai' girl =D ] ..

ohhh... and the highlight of the day was when we go around to give out the frames to our teachers... =D ... the guys were juz so funny when they gave their well wishes to them... and I could not help but laugh... Mr. Song attempted in vain to quieten them down but to no avail =D ... oh... and it's the first time I see Mr Yong so happy... Mr Wee too... dunno why he was hiding in the sigma lab =P ... the funniest was when we presented to Mr Chow... when kevin came up with his 'wu yun mi bu' and etc. etc.... SUPER FUNNY!!!!! omg..

Wendy and I had to go for tuition... while the rest went shopping at VIVO .. we joined them later for a movie entitled 'Wall-E' ... ok... i had to say it is quite an interesting movie with robotic concept and super imaginative plot.. but then I had a headache after trying to figure out wat on earth are the robots doing etc... omg... so confusing... luckily i had enough food.. I'm like having a picnic in the theatre.. haha.. nachos and burger king stuff =) ... first time nvr slp when i watch movie.. coz got food =)

Oh well... went plaza Sing after that with my parents..

Then to the dental clinic and waited like 1 hr plus there... fell asleep while waiting.. i was really really tired then... couldn't help =)

Today's national day celebration was great!!! =D The concert was nice and Solaris won the NE cup again! =) Well.. what I enjoyed most is the 'National Song' sessions! =) It feels as though I'm back at Crescent again... where the feeling was just so great when we sing together as a class [maybe the only difference is that in Crescent, the WHOLE school sings =) ] Like what the teachers said, this might be the last year we all will get the opportunity to celebrate National Day as a school... and I'm glad it went well =) ...

Maybe a large part of it should be attributed to our class guys... for being forever so enthu and BRAVE !!.. =D ... we have mervyn and Zac answering the NE quiz... Kevin and some others putting on a 'mini-performance' on stage... and the jumping-while-singing stuff that they were doing was hilarious la! =) ... Anyway... I had lots of fun =)

After the celebration, I went to Bukit Panjang Plaza fo lunch with lynette, wendy and vanessa =) ... ate at Subway...

well... there isn't much time for me to blog these days... it's been REALLY busy... ... anyway... today.. i shall take a break and look forward to the opening of the olympics in China later this evening...

It had really been a fun and memorable trip =) ...and the experience was really invaluable... It’s the first time I had ever travelled that far alone ... Day 5 - Public Exhibition

This must be the most relaxing day for me =)) .... finally dun have to worry bout the competition anymore =D ... Yeah.. Today is Public Exhibition Day... so basically juz present my project to any interested passer-bys =) ...

oh .. and some little children actually came to ask me about my proj... and when i explained to them... they juz give me this 'stoney' face and i was like 'you sure u understand wat i'm talking about or not...?!!!!!!!!!! ' lol ... HA!!!!!!!!... in the end i unravelled their 'secret plan'... they trying to kope S'pore souvenirs from me.... super lame sia... [want juz ask la.. =) ]

Went back to Georgia World Congress Centre for Special Award ceremony =) ... tried really hard not to fall asleep but we were all super super unsuccessful... =).. haha.. coz the ceremony was super long [like around 3 hrs] ... so... we were all asleep until Zhao Ye and WeiChao 's names were announced =) ... They won a special award! =) .. haha... Congrats to the 2 geniuses =P ... [ btw.. David had to woke them up to receive their award... coz they were like really slping .. lol]...

Day 4 - Judging Day

Set out in our bright red blazer .. haha.. attention catching huh.. =D .. haha .. it was like freezing ... coz the wind is super strong and i was like wearing a skirt.. !!! omg!! luckily i survived =) .. and the heels were so painful... =(

Mr Lim lead the way though... but he keep getting his directions wrong lol.. !! [and David juz follow blindly alongside with him... .. luckily got Wei Chao and Zhao Ye there to save us =) other wise ar... ] haha!.. and somehow we all got some probs with reading the traffic signs... when it says 'don't walk'... we'll walk.. and when it says 'walk'.. we stone.. [actually not our fault also.. their signs a bit confusing..] =D

The judging process

ok.. found out that i have 6 grand award judges.. =) .. not so bad la..compared to last year where they had 10 ... ... haha.. apparently this year got shortage of judges...

the first one went quite well.. kinda saw my score coz he was writing them down when i was juz beside him.. lol..

2nd, 3rd and 4th.... a bit disappointing la.. coz they dun seem to be able to relate to my proj... so sad =( ..

sooo... felt a bit demoralized already =(( .. fell asleep while waiting for my 5th one.. =D .. can't help it.. too tired..

yeah... and the judge had to like wake me up...

then got sudden surge of enthusiasm.. haha.. [maybe coz the slp freshen me up =P] ... so presented with so much enthusiasm and the judge seem to be able to feel my proj.. =) ... yeah... that was one satisfying one =) .. haha.. 6th one was not bad too =) ..

So... overall... some were good some were really bad la.. haha... but the experience was really invaluable... haha.. made me learn even more about my proj... =) ... so... i'm quite glad already... doesn't matter whether i get anything for it or not =)))))) ...

We went there only for like a while.. haha.. coz none of us wanted to dance =) ... yeah.. anyway there's actually a lot of entertainment there also.. like arcade games etc.. and there's food too... but i only ate a chicken drum.. =( ... haha.. decided that going back to play cards is more fun =) ...

[err... actually i kind of overcame my jetlag only on the 5th day which was like the second last day before returning to S'pore.. sad sia... coz when i return to Singapore... jet lag starts again... ... ... =( ]

[hmm.. but some tasted rather funny though... =P]

Haiz.. but can't really sleep... [despite the fact that the bed was super comfortable and big.. =) ... and i had 4 pillows =D ... =) ... =P]

Day 2 - Opening Ceremony

Open Ceremony Dinner:

We went to this super huge hall where it has hundreds of tables... enough to fill a thousand over people i think =) ... I went in and saw many many rows of food [buffet style] ... =D .. yeah... cheered me up for a moment before i realize that in every row ... the food are all the same .... lol... I still tot they so nice.. give us so much variety of food....... Haiz...

Kind of forgotten what i ate already... think it was some chicken chop if i'm not wrong =) ... ahh... anyway.. glad it wasn't potatoes =)

Opening Ceremony:

Arrived at another super super big auditorium again =) [haha... everything there seems so big] ... there was this performance by the drum troupe... seems to me like it is their traditional welcoming item [they march in with drums etc.] Quite nice la... but super noisy also .. :P ..

Then comes the boring part... where all the famous/important pple gave their speeches etc... first few quite inspirational though... but we all got sleepy after some time... can't help it =) ... eh actually i not bad already =) ... only slept for a short while.. [zhao ye , wei chao & david ... i think they like slept for 5 times the amt of time i sleep la!!! ] HAHA!!

Then it was time for all the countries representative to showcase their shout-out posters =) ... Zhao Ye and Wei Chao went up for us.. haha.. I was too lazy to go =))) ... anyway.. from far.. our poster looks quite nice la =) .. coz it's really colourful.. [despite the fact that David kind of turned the aeroplane into a dolphin :D... and pasted excessive amt of flower stickers onto the poster ......] lol...

Woke up at 6 am in the morning... only to find out that some storm had hit Atlanta while i was sleeping.. Tornado warning was issued that morning.. News also reported that a tornado hit Georgia that same night.. That's something to be scared about... :/ anyway .. life still goes on.. Here are some pics:

After breakfast we went back to the hotel for more poster presentation practicing... oh well.. that's the boring part.. Then, we walked back to GWCC to set up our posters.. The exhibition hall was like super super huge.. hmm... basically everything there was huge la...

Went for some shoptalk about communication skills... and i realize how enthu the americans are... when the speaker asked for volunteers.. there'll always be an overwhelming response... wow... that's like kind of rare here in Singapore...

At night.. we had some pin-exchange activities... all of us were given 80 Singapore pins for exchange... that's where i had the opportunity to meet like thousands of pple from all over the world.. it was really exciting and pple there were really social.. David met some familiar faces from RSI (MIT attachment programme) and he was telling me how smart they are... haha!! WeiChao and Zhao Ye too met pple there whom they already know before from some other international competitions... haha... I am the only one who don't know anyone from there at all... !!! haha... my first pin-exchange experience... =)

Oh and not forgetting the food served there... it was really good though i did not eat much as the teachers brought us for dinner earlier already... sad man..

The Journey to Atlanta

Woke up at 3 am in the morning... and met the rest in terminal 3 at 4.15am... I was really super excited... for i have nvr gone so far from home alone before.. But when i entered the gate way, I felt a bit home sick though... haha! as usual...

Anyway... the journey to Hong Kong was 4 hrs... and United Airlines (UA) was quite disappointing la.. the food was kind of tasteless... the ear phones won't even working and so basically the TV in front was kind of useless too... Luckily David's there to entertain me for the first 2 hours.. haha.. =) ... then when everyone else slept... I stoned for the rest of the time.. coz apparently i juz couldn't slp... ...

After about 2 hours of exploration at HK's airport... we boarded the plane again... this time... for a 13 hours journey... OMG! 3 times the duration of the trip from S'pore to HK !!! ... I wonder how i'd survived!! .. anyway... sat with Mr. Lim and David at the back row... well.. the two of them talked bout some rather 'interesting' topics and i really have no idea how it all started... haha... the statistics really scares me... !!

I managed to get some slp finally... but woke up and realized like there's 10 more hours to go... sigh... in the end .. resort to playing cards =)) ... i was like super blur as nvr had i played with 2 decks of cards before... tortured my poor brain =((...

So basically life there was like talk, eat, sleep and play cards... quite fun and relaxing la... not as bad as i thought it would be... ohhh.. and the eating part totally confused me!! ... they served lunch and lunch again... then maggie mee for supper [or dinner]...

Oh and the highlight for the journey:

The point between the day and the night... omg..... really cool man... one side was like in the day and the other side in the dark... =)))

It has really been sometime since i've last visited this place... Last few weeks have been rather busy for me... Haven't been dancing lately... Lots of homework to do... and endless amount of research stuff to prepare... and I'll be leaving next week already! It didn't occur to me that it'll be so soon... ... Time flies...

SSEF award ceremony was great! It was really grand and beautiful... I felt really inspired then too! aahhh... the feeling was indescribable... anyway... got some 400 dollars borders vouchers which will perhaps take me years to finish spending them as I hardly read... =)

Went to celebrate Alyssha's birthday that day too! Finally got a chance to meet up with my secondary 4 friends after such a long time.. =) ... oh... but guess what... i'm the only sole NJ girl there =( ... but it's ok... it's always nice to make new friends =)

Tuesday was like one of the greatest day of my life =) .. ran the 4 x 200m relay finals =)... shalom, wan ching and marrissa are super super fast!!! and i'm just there coz there's a need to fill up one more space =) haha... hey! i realized that more than half the class participated in track and field meet =) ... that's really cool =) ... our class is so sporting la! =) .... played basketball for a while after the race... and played hockey after that =) .... Haha... a rather 'sporty' day for me... seldom have such fun in NJ... one of the rare moments =)

Wednesday was vanessa's birthday... haha.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! =) i see that she became like a big bird that day... with all the yellow fluffy stuff around her =) ... Here's a picture:

Hey!!!!!!

I realized it's only during weekends that i've the time to blog =) ... anyway.. these are the things that happened this week:

Dance on monday as usual=) ... can't really remembered what exactly happened already.. =P
Half day on tuesday =) .. went out shopping with wendy for a while.. to get her shoes for some wedding dinner =) ...
Went to MOE headquarters on wed after school for some meeting... supposed to get my blazer too but in the end they didn't have my size... needed XS =) ... haha! oh well... means i've gotta go another day.. anyway... was glad that i've finally finalized my poster =)

Hmm.. but it's sad that i've got to miss CIP again =( .. i've only went twice this year =(

Went for tuition after that with wendy and yi wen... but before that we went to shop at plaza Sing first =)
Ran 2.4km run on thursday! haha.. it was quite ok la =) ... 12.22 min ... but much much worse than last year still =( ... nvm... ... i dun have to go army anyway... so doesn't really matter to me HAHA!

Followed by dance from 4 - 9 pm... i was so tired but still got to put in effort coz aristal vetting on sat! and i keep yawning throughout the dance pratice... was really extremely tremendously tired!

Went home... bathe... eat... and sleep like immediately as soon as i hopped onto my bed...
Attempted to do 5 stations on friday... but can't !! haha... my arms were hurting (can't do pull ups)... legs were hurting (can't do standing broad jump and shuttle run) ... and my waist hurts too! (can't do sit-up) ... soooo... basically the only thing i can do is sit-and-reach... which is the worst of my 5 stations...

The pain comes from thursday's running and dance! expected though...and it's the first time my whole body was aching so badly... =(

Ya anyway.. I decided to take my 5 stations next week instead... =)
Saturday... in other words today... was aristal vetting!! ... i was quite nervous when dancing all the 3 items... haha! it was so scary! .. pair dance was not yet perfected... quan nu item (still can't get the feeling of the dance right =( ... ) ... alumni dance was nice =) ... haha... but i kinda forgot my actions for one part (after running out so confidently, smiling too ... and then opps.. forgot actions)

Haha... that only tells me one thing.. i've gotta work a lot harder for dance!! =) ... but it's not so bad though... coz i'm kind of enjoying myself =) this week was quite a 'research-free' week for me =) ... but next week is going to be loaded with research stuff... !!! aahhh... haha...

Oh it has been a really exciting week =) I won't go into the details anyway [regarding some stuff]... haha!!

Hmm... from what I remembered there was a couple of research meetings this week... dance =) .. and not forgetting the countless amt of school work... [immune to it already... so it dun really bother me anymore =) ]

Tuesday:

Had some research presentation to the Israel people... and they are like super tall!! Intimidating man! I was told they were students... ya... and in the end they came in suits and appeared so formal... it was really far from what i had imagined... The way they asked questions and responded to my presentation... OMG! seemed to me as if they were some sort of professors... haha!! Amazed by their lvl of IQ !! Mrs Cheng and HOD of science was there too! .. all there to scare me! haha... but nevertheless, i'm juz glad that it went quite well.. Satisfying at least...
Well... went to the MOE headquarters after my presentation for some meeting... The facilities alone already amused me tremendously... i went into the lift expecting to see buttons for me to press [juz like any normal lift] ... haha! and there wasn't any buttons at all! well.. i was quite certain there was and so i literally examined the lift in great detail in an attempt to find the 'hidden' buttons... thank god someone came to save me! haha... she told me the buttons were outside and my response was like 'what?!' ... haha.. yup.. it's a security lift.. and apparently that's how it works... =) ... oh.. and upon entering the meeting room.. i realized that the air cons were situated on the floor... haha! what happen to the science about convection current? Anyway it doesn't seem to me that it's a good idea as the room was rather stuffy...

Highlight of the meeting - met up with the previous year's ISEF participants and they shared with us their experiences... well... i learnt that they can juz fall asleep halfway while standing due to terrible jet lag.. [yar.. so must sleep in the plane =) ] ... they shared many fun times together too and from the things they shared.. they all made me sooo excited!! Can't wait to go!!!

Learnt that we'll be taking UA instead of SQ.. that's something to be sad about... well... can't be help coz SQ's needs a transit and the waiting time will be like 10hrs! Yar... but anyway if we take UA we might be able to go terminal 3 =)))))

ooohhhh!! and i'll get to wear Singapore blazer too!!! cool man! for i nvr knew there was such a thing..

Other then all the happy stuff.. there's lots of work to be done of course.. and that's something to work on...

Wednesday:

Left school early again... for some photoshoot with the rest of the ISEF finalist at kallang... well.. i was expecting like maybe a studio where we juz like pose and take a pic and that's all... But when i arrived at the 'studio'... it was like so huge and i felt as if i entered some kind of a place where only those bigshot models go!! Haha... they led me to this room where the make-up artist gave me a total make-over... with like make-ups and hairdos... and the photoshoot was hilarious.. it was supposed to be informal shots.. ya.. so got to pose some funny pose on the floor... and then on some white box.. and while standing too!! ... ya... the standing up shots were basically all dance-like pose! interesting experience! haha!

Saturday:

Woke up and i was supposed to go for dance... and omg! i could hardly walk up and down my stairs!! Super terrible muscle aches... ah! so i figured out that i won't be able to dance anyway... yup... so didn't go in the end...

Well.. since i did not go for dance... my mom decide to take this opportunity to bring me out to get all the stuff required for my trip... yup!! really happy that i finally settled almost all the stuff i needed... took a whole day long though... but at least it is done.. and i dun have to worry bout it anymore =) ... left with one white skirt to get... yup

Oh well.. these are juz some of the eventful part of my life for this week.. not really considered the most exciting ones still.. as for the really really really really really exciting ones.. must go ask Jessica! =) haha! Yup...

Had dance today as usual... and i decided to join the alumni dance too as it might be the last time i'll ever dance in my life and perhaps i should make the most out of it.. and leave no regrets... yup.. i'll try my best to cope... =)

Went to ACJC fun-o-rama after dance with kai ling... well.. we met lots of crez pple there and we talked... it wasn't exactly as fun as i'd expected though due to the crowd, rain and humidity... But it's nice meeting people you've not meet since sec school days... juz feels happy to see them..

Once again, another week had passed... and next week.. it'll be the return of Mr Yong... haha! Physics tutorial will be full of motivation, perseverence and enthusiasm again... Oh my! I hope i'll survive... ...

What went on this week for me?? i can't seem to recall much.. Nowadays... time seems to fly so quickly and weeks passed just like how days passed... it's like yesterday was the beginning of the week... and today marks the end of it already... That's how i felt totally...

Well... to put it shortly... it all revolves around research, dance and school stuff... [nothing new] and that left me little or rather absolutely no time to relax or take a break... It's like i'm living in this world where it is the race against time... and where 24 hrs a day is nvr enough...

Nevertheless... i did gain something invaluable this week too... talking to my research mentor broadens my once myopic view towards research.. I could totally sense his passion for research and i realized that there's still so much more to it... Come to think of it sometimes... it is indeed interesting... and more importantly purposeful too... Now, i felt rather convinced to pursue in research... but then again.... my wishes and goals have always been changing... and it may still continue to change...

GP tuition was enriching today... learnt many stuff and skills too! The teacher was so entertaining that regardless of how tired i am after school, i'll still have the energy to stay awake.... Ohhh... but apparently i was asked this question: 'How confident are you that you'll be able to find a man that is pure towards you next time?'... that kind of left me stun for a while as i really have no idea... i said 'quite confident' anyway... but gave no substantiation... anyway... in my mind i was thinking... 'one day i will'...

One thing bout her... She likes to divert into other stuff during tuition too! and sometimes her question are just so hard to answer... at least for me it is...

haha! and I keep getting injured this few days.. Fell down a couple of times while climbing up stairs n at home too... injured myself in some other interesting ways!.. Nvm...

It's getting really late and i figured that this seems to be the only free time i have to reflect on stuff... Well.. there's dance tml and i'm still ignorant of where is it going to be at... Left 6 hrs of sleep... ya... but sometimes i wish that humans can survive without 'hibernating'... as it takes up a quarter of a day!!!

Well then.. guess that's all i have to say...

It's kind of a dull day today... most of the days have been like that nowadays.. Woke up and half the day is already gone.. [that's kind of not bad actually.. making the dull day shorter...]

Anyway... all i did today was work and more work =) ... Econs case study was super hard and i hardly know how to do any question... =(( .. Attempted to do an GP essay but end up taking like 2 hours plus... haha... quite pathetic la!!! Ahh!! i'm really getting exceedingly worried for GP!

Oh.. and i was like listening to this 'cai hong' song sang by Jay Chou like for almost the whole day.. haha.. sudden addiction to it dunno why.. somehow i won't even get sick of it after listening to it for the whole day... usually that's not the case! coz i get sick of songs quite easily.. haha..

Tml there's school again... must prepare for the tiring week ahead!!

I was so happy to be back in my primary school again today =) ... Reminds me of all the little things i used to do in RGPS... pleasant childhood memories.. 6 years ago... everything there seems so huge to me (the hall, canteen, etc.) but now.. i realized it is not that big after all... (when you're small things appear bigger :D) i remembered how our school use to flood when it rains and we'll all start sliding down the stairs (unintentionally of course)... but it's kind of fun anyway...

Today's dance was at RGPS's hall... coz apparently the one in NJC was filled with tables and chairs for lectures... guess next few sat dance practices will be at RGPS too!! =)

Hmm... dance today was tiring though... as usual... my back feels as though it's going to break and it has been hurting since weeks ago... the pain nvr seems to go away =( ... and the blue blacks on my knees keeps accumulating... other than that i kind of like the dance anyway though it's rather hard for me.. esp. the countless amt of turning... i keep losing balance... =( ...

And the alumni dance is really really nice!! i'm really sad that i can't dance that as i won't be able to cope otherwise.. But the saddest thing is that Jaq is not dancing too =(((( ... she really really wanted to dance but she dropped out in the end coz she can only come on sat for practices and she thought it would be unfair for the rest who comes for more practices... ahhhh... she's like so 'wei da' ... i really think she should dance still.. considering how much effort she had put in last year for NJCD... yes!! i thinks she still deserves to dance even she can only come on sat...

Everything just doesn't seems rite for today...

Woke up early yet i was still late for school. Took my father's car today but he has got to fetch my brother to west coast studium first. Yar... so somehow we got lost in the middle of the road and it was only after one hour that we successfully located the place... Argh! The rain saved me anyway... No asssembly today...
The return of econs test... i obtained the lowest possible mark that anyone could score for this test... hmm... demoralizing... but nvm... i didn't study for it anyway...
Ha... even my dance today was in a big mess!! =( 'Gu Yun' was fine though... but the 'quan nu' was like terrible... i forgot almost half of the steps and was super blur during the dance... still unsure bout the last part... plus my back is like aching terribly and i can't practice all the actions that uses back... AH!! 6 more weeks left! stress! Besides i'll be missing quite a no. of practices next few weeks =(

On the lighter note... i guess i'm quite happy that there's 3 consecutive days for me to catch up with everything... including shopping for stuff... =) ... basically gotta catch up on work, research, dance, GP, econs etc. etc. ... Where's life???

I'm really tired now coz i juz finished the crazy amt of maths hm wk given for march hols!! But nevertheless... still have enough energy to reflect about today =)

Yeah!! today was really fun... Woke up at like 12 plus... Went to NUS open house with my lower sec friend (Jazlyn) in the afternoon.. =) met wan ching, marissa and the others there... met my dance senior, Yuan Jie too... it's kind of fun meeting pple around... gives you surprises =)

There's nothing much to see at NUS though... and besides we are too lazy to go for the talks and stuff.. anyway there's still next year.. =) so we left shortly... for VIVO city =)

Basically we wanted to find somewhere to sit down and talk and catch up with each other... Due to the extra busy life i'm living in now, it's has really been ages since i've last went out with her... ... ya... but she's still her usual bubbly crazy self =) haha.. don't kill me for saying that =)

I figured that VIVO is a good place to talk... as there's this super big open air area on the 3rd floor with picturesque view etc. ya...

oh...!! and i mustn't forget bout the starbucks coffee that we took today.. it's really really super nice.. haven't had it for a very long time... and it's like FINALLY... !!!

Time seems to fly... it feels as if it was just yesterday that we shared all the happy times together in Crescent... running mass run... searching high and low for our forgetful lit teacher who nvr seems to remember to come for lessons... and working on enterprise club projects etc. ... can't believe it!!! 4 years have already past...

Her OCIP trip to China sounds really fun... i wished i'll get an opportunity someday to go too.. it's like really meaningful and ya.. it seems to me like the entire experience will indeed be an eye-opener.. To see the happy faces of the children there juz makes you a million times happier...

We shared many stories... and laughed at many ridiculous stuff which i dun even know why we're laughing... must ask her... she started it.. =)

Yeah... and before we left for home... took a few pics... and omg...!!! took a long time actually juz to do this simple task... coz of the wind and sun and non-stop laughing etc.. ya... all the factors contributing to the large amt of time taken juz to take a few pics..

Yup... that's about all for the fun part... =)

K now for some not so good news... I went home and heard that there was this tornado that juz hit Atlanta Georgia in US... the place i'm going for ISEF.. !! Oh dear... now i'm getting a little worried...

Ya... and other than that i kinda like chiong the whole maths hol hm wk coz i was rather determined to finish it by today as there's like not much days left... ya... and tml have to chiong the rest... wah!! it's really going to be tiring for my brain... but no choice...

Ha.. and it's 2.34am now... i juz realized haha.. gtg!!

That must be really painful!!! ouch!!! i can nvr imagine it... i use to cry even during a normal injection... that looks like a million times more painful... Anyway... you must stay strong!!! You'll recover soon =)

And omg... you should like really scold the doctor for being sooooo inaccurate!!! He must compensate for the extra pain caused!!

Ya... and i'm glad to hear that you're still so actively indulged in maths despite all these pain =) ... Guess that really shows your passion for it... I believe you'll succeed in being a great mathematician in future... so you must believe in yrself too!!!

Yeah! and do eat lots and lots of fruits and vegetables... it is supposed to taste delicious =) ... haha.. and it is.

ARGH!!! Shopping can be a chore sometimes... it's really frustrating if there's like so many things you need to get and you only have one day to get them all... and there's like this endless amt of march hols hm wk to do and i have hardly started as past few days were entirely devoted to research... there's simply not much time for shopping anymore during the hols and when school starts it'll be worst!!!! it's becoming a need now... and that stresses me!! like going round and round the shopping center and eventually not getting anything settled at all...

i hate shopping!!! for the first time in my life!! makes me giddy....

It's going to be tough this time round... I just had my first ISEF meeting today... and already there are so many things to settle and stuff... Had to rush back to Jurong Island tml to settle some admin stuff... and coz of tat i'll have to miss the most longed-for dance camp... really sad bout tat... Besides... i really wish i can cope with aristal this year... for i dearly hope to dance... Last year... i had forgone that opportunity due to research.. and i hope there isn't a need to make the same decision again... It may be the last time i'll ever get a chance to perform... Can't afford to miss this... i really can't.....

Then again... I had a commitment to fulfil... which is to give my best for ISEF... and because of that i'll have to miss a couple of dance practices... :(( But I want to give my best for both... aristal and ISEF... but it can be quite hard at times...

On the brighter side... i learnt that we will be going to Atlanta, Georgia in United States which happens to be a resort town... yay!!! that's something to look forward to... haha.. and i hope we'll be taking SQ though... coz UA may compromise our food in an attempt to cut cost (recession) .. don't want that to happen!!! I need nice and satisfying food to survive the long journey haha!!

Went to the IT show on Sunday... and omg!!! Massive human jam !!! Sometimes i really wonder how pple can even make a proper decision in their purchase under such suffocating conditions... Though my parents kind of manage to get what they wanted... whether it is worthwhile a trip can still really be questioned... In my opinion.. i don't think i'll ever enter one again!!!! Juz glad i didn't faint that day... terrible experience :(((

Nevertheless.. that terrible afternoon experience was compensated with a super super nice dinner!! went to some Thai resturant for dinner and the food was heavenly!!! =))) Here's a pic of my brother... attacking the chicken wings... =)) Took lots of nice stuff for dinner that day and i'm quite certain i must have at least put on a considerable amt of weight =)))

Yay!! The long awaited march holidays is finally here!! =) This past week has been rather memorable.. so many things happened and it left me very little time to accept it all.. I felt so happy and thankful... speechless at times too... it's something like a dream come true... ... but then again not exactly... coz i had nvr dream of that to happen... ... Anyway.. here's a reflection on this week:

Singapore Science Engineering Fair:

It took place on the 5th and 6th of March at Singapore Science Centre... It's a competition organized by Science Centre in collaboration with A Star... In this competition, students have a chance to showcase their research projects to the judges as well as the public.. It is indeed an invaluable experience... I've learn many things through this competition... made many friends... and eventually when the results were out... i learnt that i had obtain a GOLD award!!! =) ... i was really speechless then as i had nvr expected myself to go that far... i treated research juz like any one of my other subjects... Just wishing to complete it and at least have something presentable to present for my H3... and for SSEF perhaps... i was juz hoping that i'll get something... but nvr was i expecting the highest award... i was really lost for words...

K... here's a thank you list!!! =) .. NJC teachers esp. Mr. Adrian Loh... as well as my mentor of course, Dr. Luo He Kuan... lab mates... friends... and everyone who have helped in every possible way... A big thank you to all of you!!!!

Yup... that's about all for SSEF... ha! and it will be one of the major factor affecting my results for econs test.. coz apparently i can't seem to get myself to sit down and study for econs that night... don't know why... Couldn't get my brains to focus at that time... in the end... i studied only a few pages.. end up writing only one and a half page for the test...

Return of A'lvl Chinese results

k... this was rather depressing for me... i got a D =((((((((( ... super super sad... was contemplating to retake or not... but eventually decided not to... but maybe i deserve it... coz i didn't put much effort into studying it... i totally regreted ... but i guess it's too late now... gotta move on...

A Call from MOE

On the same day, i receive a call from MOE... and I was informed that I'll be going to United States this year to take part in the International Science Engineering Fair (ISEF)... from 10 to 17 May... OMG!!! ... it took me some time to believe that... the feeling within me then is just so hard to describe... my heart is like 'flying'... Guess my research journey has not ended... for there's still one last lap to endure... It's going to be a tough journey... that was what i was told... lots and lots of meetings to attend and trainings too... meetings start on this coming monday... i'm busy all over again...

Other than that... i'm quite excited too!! .. haha... can go shopping for clothes to bring and other stuff... provided if i have time... hmm... but i think i'll miss home though... always had this prob... nvm...

That ended of this week really well... the songs they played were nice... and Daniel conducted one of the pieces too!!! ... i was super super impressed by that!! =) he's so pro!!! haha... and it's like so cool too!! ya.... anyway... i'll be looking forward to their June concert!! haha..

I love beaches. The sea breeze, the sand, the waves and all the life there...it's just so idealistic!!!

Let's talk about life, shall we?

I dunno. But it seems quite meaningless to keep on studying without even having an ultimate goal in life.. Like what am i going to be in the years to come?

You know, i really admire those people who have a very clear idea of what they are pursuing.. Like one of my cousins.. his JC life was so well planned and it seemed to me that everything he does totally make sense and is purposeful.. he gained exposure in politics in year 1.. took part in several overseas CIP trips.. did exceptionally well for promos and was awarded the top scholarship in his school.. holds exco position in council.. and now he's taking cellular biology H3... and his CCA = canoeing... Excelling in academics, leadership and sports will certainly allow him to take up almost anything he wants... and he's already clear of what to do... Medical...

But how many of us can actually do that well in JC??? University admission is so competitive nowadays and we sometimes do not get to study what we want anyway..

Then again... there's another group of people who simply have the opportunity to escape the competitive and stressful education life in Singapore... Furthering their studies overseas after completing JC..

The choices left for me are rather minimal for i would nvr want to go overseas to study as i'll definitely miss home.. and there are only very few courses offered in NUS.. to date.. there are only 3 courses that actually interest me [dentistry, chem engineering, Accountancy]

I consulted my mom on taking accountancy... she told me a long but enlightening story... i had previously misunderstood the scope of an accountant as simply just accounting for all the company's spending etc. But this is however only a small portion of this job... [from what she experience] ... an accountant has to be very sharp... and he needs to have perfect information on the market prices of every good and services purchased by the company... Otherwise, personnels in the company can actually take advantage of his innocence and claim extra $ to what they purchase.. He has to deal with difficult people and will often have to offend other people to fight for the interest of the company... He has to modify accounting system and think of new ways to handle the claim etc. and he also have to provide budget for the firm's future investment... argh!!!! basically evolving around economics... tough job...

Hey actually i was thinking it might not be too bad anyway... coz whilst handling accounts for yr company... you can learn to handle your own account at the same time too!! haha.. nvm...

Chem engineering? Actually to be honest... i have almost no idea of their scope of work at all!! i just thought that since i liked physics and chem... something that involves this 2 might be a good choice...

Dentistry... just a sudden interest in this area of expertise... needs further awareness...

I feel so tired of studying for the sake of studying... i really hope there's something that will interest me greatly so i can attempt to work towards it as my ultimate goal... then perhaps studying will no longer be so much of a burden... maybe i'm thinking too much... but maybe not... coz anyway we have to decide what courses we want to take in a few months time..

i was trying to sort out my thoughts while typing this... hmmm... but i think it kind of made me more confuse... ... ...

Stunned!! I thought it would be quite easy... I thought i had knew enough... and I thought after today all will be over and i can totally rejoice... But today's Q and A session for my H3 research presentation thought me a lot more depth and insights into my project... i was asked questions that i had nvr thought of before... and those 4 professors sitting before me today totally knew my project inside out!! Sometimes i'm really impressed by the quantity and quality of their knowledge... it's super!!!

It taught me one thing... there's still so much more to learn... so much more to read up on and understand... it's interesting.. and to appreciate this project.. one important recipe is PASSION..

The presentation went quite well.. but Q n A was rather tough... didn't manage to answer all the questions... but i did learn a lot... there are still so many interesting things to find out... so many further research to do... now that i think of it... it could nvr end...

There are misconceptions in my project that are clarified only today... and i'm glad i could finally figure out the correct explanation after some prompting...

SSEF is next week!! I hope i can take these few days to strengthern my explanation and build up on my knowledge.. This is the last lap of my research journey as a young scientist =) .. i'll treasure it!!!!

It's been a long and tiring month for me... and it's only now that i could find time to reflect on everything...

Yeah! there had been a few class outing lately.. and it's all about having lunch and watching movie... haha... The first was 'Sweeney Todd'.. the first M18 show i've ever watched.. supposedly i'm not exactly allowed to watch that yet for i've yet to turn 18... well.. i thought it was rather disturbing and disgusting at first.. the killing part esp.. it gave me creeps and it took me some time to get over it... kind of a bad choice of show to watch for new year eve though.. coz shows are supposed to make you feel happy after that.. and not the entire opposite!!! haha.. Hmm.. other than the killing.. i thought the story line wasn't that bad and the songs were nice..

The second was 'Juno' ... err... i think the storyline is super boring.. only the last part was a little touching.. didn't really enjoy it coz i was suffering from quite a bad backache during the show.. =( ...

Oh.. and CIP at Zheng Hua Primary School was super fun!! The children are all so adorable and i just feel so happy teaching them =)

Road run today was fun too!! though tiring... haha.. Solaris didn't win =( ... but i guess it's ok anyway... coz we all tried our best =)

Guess that's all i could remember... the coming weeks will be even busier... with H3 exam and SSEF... SPAs too... hmm... i really hope i can still find time to play though... like basketball etc.

gotta go sleep now... there's still dance tml.. and my back is already aching =( ..

STAR symposium

Star symposium is a day where all of us get an opportunity to present our research projects to the teachers, professors, and students in NJC. It marked the completion of our research project. To me.. it feels like a great achievement and there's really this sense of satisfaction within me. Well.. it gave me more opportunities to practise presenting and yup... it gave me more self-confidence too =)

When i first step into research last year.. there was this feeling of stress within me that was so disturbing.. there were many problems that needs to be solved and many complications throughout the entire journey... i was like a 'blur sotong' for the first few weeks... hardly knowing anything that i'm instructed to do.. But the light of research is only seen after i found out the purpose of doing this research project.. from then on... i finally got the whole picture and began to understand what i'm doing.. and ya... it's kinda interesting only then..

I went through the struggle.. i've forgone many opportunities (e.g. Aristal and attending concerts from other CCA) ... but i'm just glad to say that it ended quite well anyway =)

Reunion dinner was great... the food was great =) that's the most important part i guess.. and also... i finally got a chance to chat with all my cousins.. it's really been a long time since i last chat with them.. for they are always so busy and i hardly meet them around even though they only stay one block away from me.. Two of them are already working!!.. and the youngest is the same age as me... =) But he's like 10 times smarter and more capable..!!! oh.. and the hamster you see above... that's my cousin's.. look really really cute and i love it.. but it bites though.. and that can get really really painful...

Went to my other cousin's house the first day of new year... hmm... but sad to say he wasn't feeling that well still... hope he can quickly recover... then we can play like how we used to play every year again =) ...

Well... the two baby cousins came too... Very adorable... but clinging as well.. coz they were like following me wherever i go... gets a little irritating sometimes... but i dun really mind though =)

The younger one reminds me of my brother when he was young.. how he used to follow exactly what i did everytime... even dancing... haha.. She too... always repeat whatever her sister says.. Maybe all children are like that =)

Hmm... after all the new year goodies and stuff.. my throat is getting a little sore le =( ... and i'm like sneezing the whole day today =(... super super uncomfortable... 2 more days to go before school starts again.. yup.. so better treasure 2 more days of relaxation before the work starts pouring in again..

But for now... guess what i need is a good nite sleep =)

Yay!! i finally felt so free from work again =) ... Felt really really happy today for some reason...

Bingo during maths lesson was really fun.. and it kinda made everyone hyper.. Still can't believe how Jared actually won 3 times... and Marvin thought he had some sort of a 'bingo code'... haha.. LOL..

Went for dance outing after school.. it was kinda like an impromptu decision... coz i was super prepared to go home already... but Jing Hui juz suddenly popped out and ask if we want to catch a movie..

Yup.. so we all went to Jurong East...

Watch some pple ice-skate while waiting for the movie (27 dresses) to start... and wow!! the little girls can all skate so so well... wish i had learnt.. and i'm still waiting for an ice-skating outing someday so i can ice-skate for the first time in my life.. sounds so fun!

'27 dresses' was quite nice la.. not exactly fantastic... but satisfactory... the only not so nice thing is the seat and basically the entire environment in the theatre... coz it's like so cramp... gave me a backache and made me giddy too =(...

CNY is finally coming... perfect time to put on lots and lots of weight... well... juz hope i won't fall sick after that though.. =) yup... and i can't wait to play with my baby cousins... coz they are ever so cute =)

Yeah! today feels great... and i hope tml will be better =) ... and so for all the other days yet to come... =)

it has been a really busy week again... the pace of life is really getting faster and faster... and if this is already wat we are experiencing in term one... i could hardly imagine life in the terms to come.. sigh... maybe J2 life is juz like that.. tests... and more tests... ... i really wish i could juz go out and enjoy myself totally, putting all the tests and everything behind.. (like go to the beach again and shout my heart out.. or juz simply go shopping without having to race against time...) Tell me... When will that day come...................??

Acceptance. Yupp... that's what i need.. So i'll juz leave the sad things behind...

Mug like mad for the mechanics physics test on monday till i could literally feel my head burning... but not for long though.. coz soon after... i was forced out of the house by my mom to go shopping.. haha... Went to Far East Plaza.. Got 2 dresses and a pair of shoes... quite productive indeed... =)

Well i first thought that i'll be deprived of new clothes this year judging from the fact that i had very little time to shop.. but it appeared to me that i've actually over-shopped... perhaps forced shopping = increase productivity =)

hi again..

It was a really tiring, exhausting and draining weekend. The most tiring one i've ever had this year... Dance... sentosa... shopping... researching... mugging... ... ... that's like probably everything that i could ever do over 2 days...

Dance: Well... thought i could go there to relax and enjoy myself... but in the end.. it had really tested my physical ability... (in terms of my ability not to feel giddy after many many rounds of turning and turning and turning...) haha... oh my!!! maybe it is still enjoyable... but certainly not relaxing... !!! I figured that the whole dance seemed to be about turning [my greatest weakness]... i somehow find difficultly in regaining my sense of direction after the turns coz my head is still spinning... it's juz so hard to follow up with the subsequent actions... sigh... that leaves me with one choice... PRACTICE !!!! haha...

Tired and giddy... but it's not time to rest yet... Coz soon after dance.. there's....

Solaris Outing in Sentosa: went there really late though... it was like around 4 o'clock by the time i reached... haha... trying to fulfil my promised made to lynette... =) well... still.. i'm glad i went =) ... coz it's quite enjoyable after all... played captains ball... listen to gossips =) haha.. yup... got a bit burnt though... didn't expect that coz i tot the sun would be like setting already.... but sadly it did not =( ...

well.. didn't stay there for long though .. left at about seven with lynette and the seniors...

Shopping at VIVO: k... i was shopping with my eyes closed coz i'm really really tired already... still.. my parents didn't want to bring me home coz they still want to shop... Ha! and i tot VIVO would be like the last place i'm going before HOME... but no man!!! .. my mom still wants to go CentrePoint's Robinsons... kay... that literally killed me... so... reached home at around 12am...

Sunday: forced myself out of bed at 9am coz i gotta rush through all my work and research stuff to be handed in on monday.. and now.. i dont feel like doing anything already coz i'm giddy... oh well...

hmm... a rather eventful week end i must say... though it's tiring... but i guess there's still moments of fun too =) yup=)

hmmm... this week has been rather busy and tiring for me... tutorials after tutorials and the 'test after test' thing is coming up soon too... and i'm still in the midst of preparing for my research presentation... sigh... the only reason why i have time now is coz i'm waiting for dinner to be served...

oh well... this is J2 life i guess... not much air present for me to breathe... haha.. ok maybe i'm exaggerating... but ya... it's kind of true though...and i haven't even done my CNY shopping!!! sad man!!! and taking into account that from next week onwards there'll be like test(s) almost every week... weekends would be burn out studying for them already... [where's the time to shop???? =( ] haiz... i dun want to think about it ... haha... coz it juz like totally sadden me...

What about the fun and so fun PE lessons we use to have last year? playing ball games and stuff... it's been sort of like converted to running and more running... not much fun anymore...

kk... gotta stop talking bout these already... need to remember what Mr Yong say... persevere.. nothing is impossible... even hitting a golf ball round the earth till it comes back to you again is also possible... haha... OMG!!!

Yeah... Maybe the brighter side now is really dance... haha... really happy that we can now dance 2 items for aristal =))) ... hmmm... but the blue blacks on my knees seems to be accumulating already.. and this is only like the beginning of aristal training... but nvm anyway... ohhh!!! and pair dance... nvr dance that before in my life...!! but perhaps i should be glad that i get to experience it at least once.. =) hey... need help on this man!! 'Flying' in the air is not as easy as i thought... haha...

First 2 weeks of school......

kayz... it's been some time seen i touched this place already... there's nothing much to say though... not much time to blog either... considering the amt of work and research stuff that I've gotta complete this few weeks...

First 2 weeks of school has been ok i guess.. though i really really wanted to skip all the lessons and join in the orientation... (haha... but i know that's impossible coz the teachers are teaching exceedingly fast...) Couldn't afford to miss out much for i had to set aside next few weeks to settle research stuff... STaR symposium is coming... and exam's next month!!!! ... Cant wait for it to be over =) then i'll be 'research free' =))))

Anyway... all our teachers were not too bad (they are all quite good in fact).. judging from the way they teach us in the past week.. Mrs Lim's econs lesson was like the first ever econs lesson i understand perfectly everything that's going on... =) Chem was ok... Maths too =)... and Mr Yong's lesson... how should i put it?? ... well.. i feel like a canoeist when i'm in his class... must persevere... spend every single time to its fullest.. (haha... i want to have life man!!!!!) spending every single second of my time studying/reading/planning (or any other thing related to study) will literally kill me!!!! Well.. i believe in a balance life.. =) .... Balance life = study + play(sports) + CCA + family time + time for myself(like for example now... =))

Nevertheless... still glad to have such good teachers this year =)

Dance... =) ... Best place for me to relax and enjoy.. Really happy that i could dance Aristal this year for i had forgone that opportunity last year for research.. Got to mix around with new juniors... made more friends ... yupp... and learn this year mass dance from them =)) haha... really really fun!!! (though i feel that our year mass dance was still nicer..) Chinese New Year dance item was hilarious... (you all must really watch =)) ... last Sat practice... we played captain's ball... tiring... but fun!! Well.. i'll be looking forward to the coming dance practices =)) .. and dance dance dance away!!! =)

For now... think i got a bit of muscle aches... sore throat too =( ... Origin? i dont really know... Could be thru dance, the 2.4km run we had last fri ... or the numerous chocs that i ate (given by kailing and my cousin) .. haha.. wish it'll help by making me put on some weight [for i've lost 4 kg when school reopen... =(] ... but figured that too many will cause sore throat too.. oh well.. Nvm anyway....

Kayz.. it's 12.13 am now... time to sleep... tata!!! =)

Yeah!!! It's finally the last day of year 2007!!! oh.. and before i continue with everything... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARVIN!!!

Time really flies this year... from the fun and memorable Orientation to the dreadful tutorials and lectures... project work... and research [now how should i describe that? Interesting? Dry? Eye-opener? - a bit of each i guess] Well... not forgetting my best ever CCA - dance!!!! And in the last lap of the year.. harmoc came into my life... played the keyboard for them at yesterday's concert.. an accomplishment!!! for i love to play piano and perform... =) Hmmm... but my dear cousin is still in the hospital.. must stay strong and keep fighting kayz? Remember that!!

Well... exactly five hours more to the new year... My hopes and dreams for next year are as follows:

Excel in my studies... haha... esp GP and Econs... [need to like work harder for these 2 subjects]
Opportunities to dance... Aristal!!
More class bonding =)
Smooth-sailing for my research presentations and exams..
Most importantly... have fun!!! haha... despite all the studying and mugging that needs to be done... well.. it can be done in a fun way too i suppose.. juz have not figured out how yet... and class outings of course...
Last but not least... for my cousin to recover...

Next year might pass even faster.. before we knew it ... we all will be sitting for the nerve-wrecking A 'lvls exams.. Grad night will soon follow-suit after that..

365 days more in JC before all of us will part again... each to our separate ways to fulfill our dreams and wishes... nevertheless.. i hope we can all still keep in contact.. for i must say that JC life has generally been very enjoyable for me... and I also hope that all of us could treasure the rest of JC life and spend our time to the fullest!! .. Well... Juz want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!!!

oh well... it's a really really tiring day today... went for dance in the morning... it's was ok at first.. until Wendy start to torture us with this split exercise thing that coz my whole leg to numb and hurt like mad!! haha... ok la... quite good training though... but OUCH!!!!! painful man!!! haha... dance today was 30% practicing, 50% talking and slacking [*smiles*], and 20% dancing =) ... [felt very sleepy actually coz sleep really late the night before... was watching snow white and the seven dwarfs... hmmm... ok this is a little ridiculous... deprived of childhood?] well...

Then came harmonica practice... err... kinda bad with the keys today... made several serious mistakes... partly due to the wind... keep blowing my scores!! [*frowns*] and when i solve the wind problem... then came two flies, which i totally have no idea how to get rid of it... sigh... hope instructor won't be angry though...

Went home... practice, practice and practice!!! haha... really don't hope to make mistake that day... really hope that there isn't much wind too... and most important of all FLIES FREE!! haha.. performance this Sunday at Plaza Sing... feeling a bit scared man!!!... HELP!... haha... nvm

School is reopening soon... still have unsettled stuff though...

2) grammer book [the most ridiculous hm wk!]
3) finalizing of all research stuff... report, poster, ppt etc.

Eventful Days =))))

Past few days have been rather eventful... going out for the whole day [maybe not exactly.. coz i woke up at like average 12pm everyday.. ] hmmm.. let's see... =)

21st Dec:

Woke up real early for i have to go to school for dance and harmoc... dance was fun...!!! finally... my dance friends came back from overseas and research and we could have a small reunion again... oh ya.. and a warm welcome to all Juniors!!! =) ... When Jamie messaged me... it's time to leave dance a while for harmoc's combine practice... =) played the piano... i sounded barely tolerable i guess haha... well... but anyway... i must really thank all the harmoc people for singing me a surprise birthday song =)... THANKS so much!!!!!!!!!!! and thx to ngiam for the chocolates... tasted really nice =)... and thank you Jamie too for the gift!!!! it's really sweet and pleasant and i really liked it a lot.. =)...

When dance and harmoc ends... went paragon for shopping... ... then home to make Christmas presents =)...

22nd Dec:

It's my birthday!!! ... Couldn't sleep for the whole night...!! SMSes keep on coming in and waking me up now and then... But anyway... thanks to all that remembered and i really really appreciate it... haha... but try to take note of the timing a bit huh?? hahazzz... Went out to celebrate with my dance friends when i woke up which is like already 12pm... Coz someone else in dance had the same birthday as me!!!---[han xie] Had lunch at Swensens [in Bugis Junction].. and free ice-cream after that =)... oh.. and thanks to some peoples' perfect planning we had to finish our lunch and ice cream in barely 15 minutes coz the guys book tickets for the movie 'The National Treasure' at 2.45pm... we started eating only at 2.30pm... Well... the show was great... never knew treasure hunting could be so cool and adventurous... perhaps some day if i had the chance i'll go for one too.. XD.. yeah!!! next dance camp let's organize treasure hunting..!!

Decided to go to suntec city after that for shopping... really pity the guys.. coz they had to like stand outside the shop to wait for us for nearly an hour... oh gosh!!!... i don't even think i'll have such patience if i was a guy... haha... well ... after that... it's time for some of us to go back home... attempting to get to the bus stop outside suntec... we crossed a few rather dangerous roads with Desmond's help... include climbing over some fence... wow!!! i swear i'll like never dare to do that again coz it's super super dangerous and my mom will like kill me if she knew about it... luckily... we accomplished that safely =) ...

Yup... i then arrive at Plaza Sing to meet my parents.. had dinner at Crystal Jade... and................ still don't feel like going home...yupp... so... we went to Mount Faber Safra Club to play pool =)... my brother and i played... apparently my brother seemed to have special luck that day such that he can shoot several consecutive unintentional trick shots in a row... Shockingly impressive i must say... haha.. well.. when the clock strikes twelve.. it's time for us to go home... [opps... forgot that we still have a cake in the fridge awaiting for us to cut...] guess have to leave that for tml =)

Pride and Prejudice

watch this show again... for the fifth time this year! But i'll never get bored by it.. at least not yet... it is not exactly the plot that has driven me to like it so much.. it is however the eloquence in the way they speak that captured my undivided attention.. the power of language perhaps... it has deceived me, caused me to be drawn blindly into a supposingly plain plot only enhanced by the splendour of their spoken english.

The story is writtened by Jane Austen. The five Bennet sisters have all been raised by their mother with one purpose in life - finding a husband. However the second eldest, Miss Elizabeth Bennet, could find 100 reasons not to marry. When Mrs Bennet hears the exciting news that a wealthy bachelor and his circle of sophisticated friends are to take up summer residence in a nearby massion the Bennets are abuzz with the hope that potential suitors will be full in supply. Obligingly, the newcomer, Mr Charles Bingley, is immediately taken with the eldest Jane. When Elizabeth meets up with the darkly handsome and snobbish but conveniently rich Mr Darcy, what seems like a match made in heaven quickly becomes divided by pride and prejudice. From the very moment Elizabeth met him, his arrogance, conceit, disdain for the feelings of others made her realized that he was the last man in the world that she could ever be prevailed upon to marry........................................................... But eventually, she was overruled and found a reason to marry Mr Darcy.

Perhaps i should comment on how much i admire Miss Elizabeth Bennet... she displayed self-confidence, positive form of pride... voice diligent remarks ever so confidently in front of far more sophisticated personnels than her.. regarding on how she had captured the heart of Mr Darcy [perhaps it will be far more clearer for one to watch it for himself] .. wished i had the talent of speaking so openly to people whom i've never met before or only for the first time in my life... well... it might not be a born talent but i believe it could be cultivated to a certain extent... Practice? [if it does help at all...]

The music - piano forte... was indeed a perfect choice for the play.. it was able to instill much feelings within me and made me relate perfectly to whatever that was meant to be brought out in the movie.. pure classic.. really feel like learning how to play that song now... [perhaps one day when i'm free i'll drop by esplanade's library and borrow the scores]

The scenery - Picturesque view of the fresh greeneries, mountains and the clear blue sky blended together in perfect harmony... viewed from a rocky cliff... if i could one day be given the opportunity to be at such a place, seeing for myself whatever that appears in front of my eyes.. i will gladly like to know how exactly will i feel then...

wow... i'm at a super duper dreamy state now and perhaps it's really time for me get some sleep.. [and dream =) ]

got out of my bed, most reluctantly... to find that half a day was already gone!! ... it's 2pm!!

tried to talk... but OUCH!! a huge ulcer was hiding under my tongue!! really bad start for a day i must say...

took a whole afternoon to finish my lunch.. was in great pain of course... tried in vain... but it was still left unfinished..

since i supposed the day will be left this way.. no plans for any outings.. did something constructive =))) ... homework!! didn't like to do it of course.. and i suppose no sane beings will... but i'll have to say it's the only way [given the limited amt of activities i'll have today] for me to achieve some satisfaction for the day.. minimal no doubt... but at least a little is better than none... completed maths hols hm wk.. physics.. and half of chem... not bad huh?? uneventful day = infinite amt of work done... hahazzzzzzzzz... new physics formula for work done =)))))))) ...

sianz of hm wk... decide to go down stairs to read newsweek... and found out that our environment is in a mess, P.M. Gordon brown was transformed from Stalin to Mr Bean judging from the way he presided 'rock-steady properity', Singapore airlines new KrisWorld is super cool - the greatest show in the sky.... and many more.. too lazy to list...

oh well.. my mom is calling me down for dinner already... gotta go =))

It's my father's birthday today!!! HAPPY BiRtHdAy!!!!!! [i doubt he'll ever come to my blog anyway... haha...] so.... how exactly did we celebrate it??? =)

We went to marche for lunch [at VIVO City] =)... and we were like brainstorming of cunning ways to challenge their payment system =)... they had this card system.. each of us were given a card... suppose to scan it as we order our food.. and if we were to lose one card... have to pay 100 dollars for losing it... hmm... i was thinking if we can like juz use one card for the whole family... and spend over 100 dollars with it... then purposely lose it... wouldn't that be cheaper... ??? =) How bout a class of 20 pple all charging to one card and apply the same tactic??? Or perhaps they should be smarter than me... by imposing a limit to the amt you can charge to the card... but then again what if one wants to spend more than the given limit on one card... are they going to give you another one??? if that's the case better still =) ... with two cards in hand... juz keep one of them [no penalty of 100 dollars, amt paid = less than hundred]...

whatever it is... anyway... these are juz some random thoughts =)

After lunch... we went shopping... [not so fun though... coz it was my father and brother who were shopping for their stuff... i was kinda bored... ] My brother got a new jersey =) ... and my mom brought 2 umbrellas.... errr... how interesting!!!! Wanted to play pool after that... but my brother was under age...3 more years to go... wish he could be 16 soon... =) soooo..... we went to toast box for tea =)... and discussed what to do next .. here's each and every of our 'wonderful' ideas:

my brother: play golf!!! [ya... very funny... it was like raining and i was wearing a skirt... ]
my father: go to mount faber for a walk [they cant seemed to see the point that it was raining...]
my mom: civil service club to play pool and bowling [hmm.. my brother is like only 13... maybe bowling still acceptable...]
my brother: go home to play dota... [super bad idea.. suppose to be having a family day... dad's birthday remember?]
Me!!: i ask my dad if by any chance we can hire a helicopter... to fly to genting!!! where there's much more entertainment there =) [since the 3 of them have not much ideas... why not try something more extraordinary??? =))) ... but obviously unacceptable]
My mom: buy a DVD and go home and watch [no comments...]
my father: let's juz drive out of VIVO then decide la ... [ok... set!]

so... eventually we end up at marina square... watch 'The Golden Compass' which was kinda disappointing... ate dinner at 'Imperial kitchen'... then home we went =)))))))))) THE END =)

~ dance chalet [2-4 Nov] ~

Reach pasir ris costa sands at 7pm to find only 6 pple [han xie, peng yi, yan jia, charlene, audrey, and me] were there for the chalet... erm... ying kai zhen me shuo ne? a bit speechless ba... but nevertheless ... it's still quite fun.. jing kuo yi zheng tian de 'influence'... finally know how to speak proper chinese =) [err... but maybe 'han yu pin ying' still must improve... ] anyway... juz a short recount on how it went =)

played pool for 5 mins [coz i was kinda late and they already started some time ago]
eat dinner [took only ice kachang coz already had mine earlier]
went back to chalet and play cards till 3 plus [learn how to play 2 new games... one of which is Indian poker ---- err... it's quite lame ba]
talk from 3 plus till 6pm
took breakfast at Mc donalds [we're sleepy though... didnt sleep the whole night... but i think got someone more sleepy than us - the person who serve us breakfast at Mc.. =)]
went back to chalet... continue with cards.. [i then realized that i was a bit feverish... really CMI lor... only one night ba le...]
took panadol... then go to escape theme park =) ... hmm.. i must say the rides there are more of a torment than thrill... vikings caused me much giddyness... and the 'superman' ride kind of worsen it... inverter was painful!!! and the roller coaster gave me backache and stomach ache.. haiz... but somehow it's still quite fun... and funny too!! =)
went back chalet.. and almost immediately... we fell ASLEEP!!! haha..
woke up... still feverish.. plus dunno if next day need to go research... sooooooooooo... decided to go home ba..

yawnz.. i'm really tired now... guess no energy to reflect on what i did today le...

let's see what i did today...

woke up late... miss the bus that'll bring me to ICES... got to rush to jurong east to catch the next bus at 9.30am... bad start for a day... =(
reach ICES.. didnt know what to do.. my lab mate didnt come... all alone again=(... decided to do maths hm wk first... then went to the lab.. hmmm... cant go into details as to what i did in the lab... cOnfiDeNtiaL!!!
talk to my mentor... speaking bout that... made me recall something... for one moment my mentor decide to teach me some chem stuff in chinese... he did that for like the past 5 mths... and when i handed in my research report to him [thinking that he wont know much english anyway]... the next thing i know he started correcting my english [grammatical and sentence structure error]... SHOCKING!!!
got chased out of ICES by 5pm... coz today is Friday! early dismissal =))))
reached home... watched Lord of the Rings with my brother... got quite giddy after that though... too much fighting...
dinner was nice=)
watched the 9 o'clock show in channel 8...
then........................................... feel bored again

yawnz... i'm really bored now... guess my whole hols is revolving around dance, school work, and research... it's really kind of dry i must say.. besides, my cousin is now hospitalized... one less person to spend the holidays with... it made a great difference indeed. I've nvr felt more bored before... it really feels odd not having something to look forward to... esp during the holidays... argh!!! ... this kind of feeling is so hard to described... ... ... ... ... ... ... feels so forlorn...

well.. but there's still one more month for enjoyment=) want to find out what i wish to do???? =)

Ice-skating!!!! really really want to experience how to skate on ice=) though i have like nvr tried that before in my entire life... my parents will nvr bring me... for they fear i would fall and cut myself... but i dun really care.. do i?=) because when i watched the 'disney on ice' advertisement... it was so enchanting... wished i could be as good as the disney characters when they figure skate... hmmm... but that i'll juz leave it as a dream... coz till now... i hardly know how to skate...... let alone figure-skating...
work??? haha... not so sure though... and what should i work as? tutor? some receptionist in sentosa? it'll feels good indeed when i can go out there and earn some money for myself... but perhaps i'll have lots of opportunity for that after i graduate some years later.. for now... i'll want to tresaure my life as a youth... hmmmm.. but looking at the way i'm spending my holidays now... nothing much to treasure though... (xept for dance... it's fun=))
class outing=) ... class outing had always been fun for me(since i had the first one in sec 1). well... i hope we could have one soon though... juz like the last one we had in sentosa.... i'm sure we all enjoyed it =) .. exept marvin maybe... he didnt like the scotching sun=)... and wendy to0
taking planes... aeroplanes... to be more specific.. hmmm... i dun really know why... but i find the feeling of taking off and landing really cool!! it's like you are flying in the air.....:)
shopping! it's only lately that i developed that interest... rather odd though... now that i start to like it... i felt as though i've deprived much of it over the years... i'm a girl after all... shopping should be a natural liking...
Lastly... a variety of sports=) ... basketball... tennis... badminton... swimming... table tennis... pool... etc.... Sigh... no one to play with though.... xept for my brother... coz my parents are feeling down at the moment due to my cousin's illness... so do my brother and I of course... but playing sports is the best way of relaxing and throwing aside all yr troubles and worries dont you think... ?

Well... these are juz dreams and wishes i must say... whether or not it'll come true... it's still too early to tell... so i shall juz wait and see=) ...
